Guest MattP Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 True. In 1817 only landowners were allowed to vote. Now they allow women to. How times have changed. : The Liberals must hope for those days back, the WHIG stood a chance of being elected.
Zingari Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 I really don't care if gays can get married or not , but what's puzzling me is why the Tories have taken the trouble to push it through.( oh err missus) Surely if anyone would take a stand on what many believe is lefty liberalism gone mad it would be them . A cynic would believe it really doesn't matter who is in power , the same stuffs gonna happen anyway.

Obvious, completely removes the "Homophobic Tories" card from the Labour deck. It was a work of genius by Cameron, Liberalise yourself to the nation then push through some (hopefully) obscene right wing nastiness to draw voters like me back to the party before the General Election.
Charl91 Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Please read the thread, he has agreed that gay adoption is preferable to no adoption. Where did he say that then in this thread? I'd like quotes please.
Charl91 Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 People read what they want mate, always will. I made it very clear I supported gay marriage as it was two consenting adults and said gay adoption was better than none, you get accused of being against both by the end of a thread like this on here. Again, please quote me where that was stated, and I'll admit that I was wrong.

I see your point and it probably is the reasoning behind it. But surely taking labour’s “homophobic†card out of the deck , they've also discarded their own equally powerful, “ tory party standing for family values†trump card out too. Nah ,I'm sticking to my belief that politics are a big charade to keep us a misguided belief that we actually have any power in what goes on
I am Rod Hull Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 Nah ,I'm sticking to my belief that politics are a big charade to keep us a misguided belief that we actually have any power in what goes on A kindred spirit We just need to wake up the other 99% Political policy is made by multinational corporations and bankers, its all about making money, but now and again they`ll throw the dog a bone and make us sit up and beg for some scrap of nothingness that we are made to believe is important.
Rincewind Posted 18 July 2013 Posted 18 July 2013 I am just dozing. Sometimes I think politicians have been abducted and taken away by the fairies who then take over their bodies. Then I wake up and dismiss the idea as fantasy.

theessexfox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Where did he say that then in this thread? I'd like quotes please. Here: This. Good straight couple > Good gay couple > Single-parent > None I think that's where most would fall down to be honest.
MooseBreath Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Well I'd go Straight couple > single parent > gay couple > single gay > none
Charl91 Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Here: Wrong person. Next time, before you come along and say something arsey like "please read the thread", actually read it yourself first.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 I find the subject of Gay adoption as obscene. It just should not be allowed.
sphericalfox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 I find the subject of Gay adoption as obscene. It just should not be allowed. says Jimmy Saville's mate
Charl91 Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 I find the subject of Gay adoption as obscene. It just should not be allowed. Didn't you punch someone in the head for standing up at a football game? I don't really think you get an opinion.
Mark_w Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 I find the subject of Gay adoption as obscene. It just should not be allowed. Did no one acknowledge your last ridiculous post in this topic? I guess you'll have to throw some more shit at your keyboard until you get a reaction.
Danno Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 I can assure you there's nothing milf like about any of these parents. On the whole most of the kids couldn't give a monkeys about another kids domestic situation. Do they have short spiked up hair and wear Ben Sherman clothing?
theessexfox Posted 19 July 2013 Posted 19 July 2013 Wrong person. Next time, before you come along and say something arsey like "please read the thread", actually read it yourself first. Apologies then, got mixed up between him and MattP.
DennisNedry Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 No I mean homosexuality happens in nature so how can it be unnatural. And I agree it is a no brainer. Rape, incest, inter-species breeding happen in nature. So they must be natural too?
Rincewind Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 In a way but because Humans have the ability to reason and think we as a species have come up with rules to try and stop the acys that cause harm. Otherwise we/'d still be behaving like prehistoric Man.
BoneDog Posted 20 July 2013 Posted 20 July 2013 I'm still not sure why the gays want to get married. Surely a civil service is enough for them. In a way but because Humans have the ability to reason and think we as a species have come up with rules to try and stop the acys that cause harm. Otherwise we/'d still be behaving like prehistoric Man. Nobody knows how prehistoric men behaved. They could have had very good manners for all we know.
