What will it take for Pearson to get sacked (owners expectations)

I'm well aware of what you said, I was setting you and others straight. But once again, two posts in a row the man who claims to not abuse people has to resort into putting people down by claiming they are "Mrs Pearson", was it not you the other day saying you don't do such things unless someone has a go at you first (yeah right)

Million pound transfer fees, errr you sure. He didn't spend a million pounds until he got into this division. The only players he had that cost a million were Steve Howard (who he didn't sign). The most he spent was on Tunch and that wasn't a million...

Who have a missed? All the players in the first list were free or on loan or he didn't sign them.  You had Powell (Free), Mattock (Kid), Adams (Free), Berner (free), Wesolowski (kid), Dickov (free). Care to add all these million pound players he signed??????

I'm sorry if being called Mrs Pearson offends you ..... it was just a joke ...... very different to being called "****ing Cvnt", "Ridiculous smeghead", "tw*t...... and the likes that I was called for not joining the Nigey Love-in.

Did he not sign Howard, Hume?? Mattock and Wellens?? (or were they after promotion?).

At least we need not worry about premiership sides now ..... going on your theory their manager will have worked a miracle to get them promoted.

None of which was done by me, or anything at all in this thread. It doesn't offend me, I just find it sad that you need to attempt to put my points down by saying such things.

Howard was signed by Holloway, Hume was signed by Levein and sold the summer we were relegated, Mattock was youth team and Wellens was signed when we got promoted, same as Gally.

Where have I said it was a miracle, I said don't play it down. People get a lot of facts wrong about that season (as you did), he sold a lot of players and brought in lots of loans, signed some frees and spent money on Tunch. The team regularly only contained about 3 players we were relegated with.

If a manager who gets relegated manages to lose a huge number of players, turn a profit, sign just frees and loans and walks the league they will have done a very good job.

They have indeed. I do not intend to put down mr pearson's achievements as a league one manager 5 seasons ago.

Fair play to him, that was an achievement at the time.

How many more seasons of failure will you justify with this one achievement???

The fact that you continually defend the guy against ..... well actually nothing ..... I asked for some balance just as you did ..... didn't even say anything about him .....

Maybe that's why Mrs Pearson seems to me to be a little humurous jibe at your opinion ..... You just didn't need to defend him, he wasn't being attacked, but you can't help it .... your love for him is admirable, Mrs P!!!!!!  lol

What? Who is justifying anything that has gone on since. Someone put down his league one season by saying it was a championship team, when it wasn't. I set them straight and said it shouldn't be put down. That was the end of it until you needlessly chime in. The only person linking it to anything other than that one season is you!

Why were you even offering balance, it wasn't even needed. I never said he was a miracle worker or anything else (not sure where you got that from). Just that it was not a championship team. You yourself thought we have better and more expensive players than we actually did. I was correcting a misconception, which you shared. So you "balance" was incorrect.

Yeah hilarious.

Not a happy camp at the minute! Robinson, Richardson, Pearson not a happy family....

Have they fallen out because of the squads form or transfer policy or a personality clash. I was never sure that NP could work with a director of football

Why are you asking him? He clearly knows **** all as he thinks Dave Richards last name is Richardson.

Bit of everything is what I was told.

Pearson/Walsh have their way of doing things....Robinson/Richards have theirs. There's obviously been a clash.

Don't think Robinson new much about Bakayogo signing until everything just needed to be signed off

At this moment in time, the only thing that could get him sacked would be for sha**ing the owners' missus.

To be honest, if we get promoted, he might even get away with that :P

I'm quite looking forward to the season starting now. I believe the league to be massively competitive this year and its gonna be fascinating to see how we do.

I think we'll start badly, then get better as the season progresses.

Will the project be successful? It's gonna be tough.

You were half-right Col!

Interesting that this thread has been bounced - I wonder what happened to the nay-sayers (we'll start badly, play boring football, finish halfway and Pearson out by Christmas)?

Cheers buddy. Oh well, nearly right I guess.

I do wonder about this in the Premier League though.

How long would they back him for? I hope they don't go down the typical route nowadays and sack him after a bad run to appoint some bloke who's managed Rayo Vallecano and Las Palmas

i hope, he wil be given till january 2017 if we happen to leave the prem as quickly as we seem to be entering it. unless we're in the top 6 of the champ obviously

So do I. I hope he stays and gets the time he has earnt to have a fair crack at it.

The fixture list matters immensely in the Prem. Get Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City in the first three games and get hammered, then confidence can dip rapidly. Conversely, get three easier fixtures and do well in them can set you up for the season.

He's got to be given time to assimilate a squad capable of staying up.
