fleckneymike Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 I like to think of it as looking smart, presentable, taking pride in your appearance... nothing wrong with that. I look down on people like yourself who just wears whatever, scruffs if you like... (i dont really, I don't stoop to your level on judging people because of their clothing) How else is one supposed to judge a person you don't know? After all you just stated you like 'looking smart'. It is possible to 'look smart' without buying Stone Island et al for no other reason that it is Stone Island. Some of the scuffiest bastards at the football tend to be those dressed 'casual'. I have no problem with you looking down/up/sideways at me, we share different ideologies, cultural norms etc

Bilo Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 We always judge people to some extent, it's a very human trait to do so. Many of us judge chavs based on their appearance. I'm sure people others judge as chavs will judge emos, hipsters etc.
fleckneymike Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 Honestly? Ian not offended. I have always been amazed by the willingness of people to 'look down' on others. I grew up with a socialist background and believe there is worth in everyone. I have however never liked the 'looking down' on people attitude of people that have petty snobbery. You have not offended me Mike, please don't take my criticism to heart. I too believe there is worth in everyone but I also believe there is a **** in everyone. Ledesma Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 Nothing wrong with wearing the top mate. Is just when people wear the top, shirts, socks, shin pads and boots! That's just embarrassing.
Leicester_Numan Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 It's a uniform, a costume an outfit. It is the strange urge to wear something 'special' to a social event. There are many people who would dress that way throughout the week, which is fair enough, but the desire to 'dress up' and effectively put on a costume for a game of football strikes me as very odd indeed. Some of us do dress that way during the week. I've got so many Numan or Leicester shirts they're more or less the first things I lay my hands on. Dressing up to me would be wearing a shirt
Bilo Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 Define Chav. You could ask a hundred people and get a hundred definitions, it's highly subjective. Which is kind of my point.
HEGGSY Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 Nothing wrong with the casual look IMO. What's wrong with a pair of smart jeans, a decent jacket/coat and a pair of trainers? Or is it the ones who walk around wearing Burberry and Stone Island that annoy you?

gazlcfc27 Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 Couldn't give a toss what people wear when folling Leicester,i like the retro tops more cause they go with my beaten up old Vans trainers, and the newer tops just look a bit shit on me.Never seen the full kitters yet and yes that is a little sad but in fairness I suppose its whatever floats and all that.I tend to wear my city tops more at away games just to let people know that im from that shithole Leicester. Callabinho Posted 2 August 2013 Share Posted 2 August 2013 What a ****ing pointless thread this is....."oh look, let's look down on that twat wearing his Leicester shirt heading to the king power", You either like the shirts and wear them, or you don't, it's simple no need for a pointless debate on it for **** sake.
