FrankieADZ Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 yeah, some dirty Russian couple was having a good hump according to reports. some people will do anything to get people to watch them. ...
Trumpet Posted 27 February 2014 Posted 27 February 2014 My oversized, inferior hardware arrived and thus far I'm quite happy with it.
Buggsteam Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 I've got both consoles, ( yes I get paid to much and far to much time on my hands. Plus a game geek ) I'm really not happy with the ps4, I'm on my second console as the first one wouldn't read disc properly. Exchanged it but now having problems with the second on with the controller not staying connected. Graphics wise and game speed the ps4 seems to be the better console. As for an all round entertainment the xbox one wins hands down. I love it that I can just talk to it. Especially when playing FIFA etc and the football results are coming in and just telling it to split screen and bring up the footy results on TV while still play a game. I've prob had more use out of the xbox but due to the faults I've had with the ps4 it's put me off using it all tho fair play to Sony there customer support has been good. I like the kinect and love that I can see my mates while playing them online now and see there reactions instead of just hearing them when I score etc. Both very good machines. If you want it purely for just gamming then I'd say get the ps4 as it's slightly faster and you can tell the graphics are better but if you want a good all round multi media centre then Xbox wins hands down. Plus Titanfall looks amazing
FrankieADZ Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 anyone getting that new South Park game? looks half decent from what people have been saying.
Beliall Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 i like the look of it. will wait for reviews etc
Adster Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 My X1 arrives tomorrow. £469 with cod ghosts and fifa. I keep reading comments about inferior hardware but I wanted a console as something I can just turn on and play. The hardware in my PC is up to scratch to handle most games, I just wanted to be able to play comfortably rather than at a desk. Titanfall swayed me too. You're about to very disappointed unless you love the typical screaming children and ghastly gameplay that follows on from the previous CoD's. You'd of been better off buying Battlefield, for sure.
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 anyone getting that new South Park game? looks half decent from what people have been saying. Odd that you've asked that question in here given it's on neither console
MrSpaM Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 anyone getting that new South Park game? looks half decent from what people have been saying. Looks decent if you like the cartoons, shame its only being released on ps3 and xbox360 though
FrankieADZ Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Odd that you've asked that question in here given it's on neither console well Im not starting a retro PS3 vs Xbox 360 thread and I cant be arsed to search to see if there is 1. Yes I iz lazy. well....never know, could come to the next gen ones, they should have done imo. also see the rumour flying about there could be an Uncharted Collection; all the games in one PS4 bundle(that would include the PS vita game too) wouldnt mind see that come to the PS4 tbf,
Beliall Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 the uncharted box set with a graphical polish would be pretty awesome

You'd of been better off buying Battlefield, for sure. I'm yet to try CoD, not a massive fan of them anymore as I'd normally play with mates - most of whom have gone off gaming. It remains in it's wrapper for now.
Beliall Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Dead Nation Apocolypse edition now available on ps plus
Legend_in_blue Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 I wouldn't swap my ps4 for 10 xbox ones with a years supply of free games!
Ashley Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Lib, Xbox has an update coming out which lowers the Kinect usage so more games can play 1080 I believe which will surely make the X1 a better console no?
Legend_in_blue Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Lib, Xbox has an update coming out which lowers the Kinect usage so more games can play 1080 I believe which will surely make the X1 a better console no?Microsoft can tweak it all they like, they're always going to be playing catchup as far as the hardware side of things goes.1080p would make it a better console of course it would. The fact that it can't at the moment is rather worrying. The latest reports are now indicating that there is a very noticeable difference in visual quality between the PS4 and Xbone versions of Metal Gear Ground Zeroes. "Let me be clear: the PlayStation 4 version is noticeably better, and when you compare it against the Xbox One version in person, there's more than a slight difference. I played both consoles on a ~ 36-inch LCD monitor from three to four feet away, and the impact of going from 1080p to 720p was obvious and pronounced." Gamespot preview. Also Watchdogs is now confirmed as 1080p on PS4 compared with 960p on Xbone. Just wait for inFamous, that will be very telling imo in terms of what the PS4 is capable of. It's a very slick piece of kit.
Legend_in_blue Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Call Of Duty with robots. There are several problems with the package as a whole – many of them seemingly due to having to meet this month’s release date. There’s only five game modes. Not only is that not much but none of them are very imaginative considering the differences between this and other shooters. There’s a lack of customisation too. The graphics are also largely unimpressive and there are frequent, if minor, problems with object pop-in and frame rate judder. There’s a real lack of interactivity in the maps. The various grunts and Terminator-like robots that move around the maps really don’t do very much at all. Titanfall’s biggest misfire though is the campaign multiplayer, which is almost laughably awful. It could do with a few more ancillary options, and a more interesting backstory, Looks like Titanfall is the real deal Depends on what and who you believe. If this didnt have Titanfall in the title, taking some of these remarks you'd think it was another one of those Thief reviews... But alas, fear not! The comments are pasted directly from the Metro review and they gave it 9/10. Farcical.

MrSpaM Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Had a go of Titanfall last night. It's a decent multiplayer game, but it's not worth £50, and it's definitely not worth buying a console for. I had fun with it from what I played, but I can't believe they are charging full retail price for it. It should have been a free to play game.
FrankieADZ Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 good to see Titanfalll getting good scores & shows developers don't have to fear in creating a new IP. only downside could be will it still hold the audience in 6/9 months when a new COD/BF is out, as we know they have a massive foothole in the FPS online market. either way, its all good for the gaming market.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 87 on metacritic. Which makes it by far the highest next gen exclusive by far.......... LiB to spontaneously combust throgh sheer rage before it is released in Europe on Thursday I think
Christoph Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Looks brilliant, as for the game modes and maps. 15 maps and the game modes sounds good enough to me. Reviews have been solid. It's one of those things where if you are a online first person shooter gamer, then you will enjoy this. Excited for this weekend now.

LiB to spontaneously combust throgh sheer rage before it is released in Europe on Thursday I think Why do people keep saying its exclusive when it isnt?Going by that judgement wouldnt flower be the highest rated next gen exclusive since it got a 91 metacritic score?
