Legend_in_blue Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Yeah, I've played it quite a bit tonight, seems very good so far. It's decent enough but as soon as you reach the second island it starts to become too repetitive imo.

Manwell Pablo Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 What's FIFA like on the xb one? I've played it on the PS4 and it does look nice, crowd is where the main difference is it does a better job of making the stadiums feel alive and like proper football stadiums, there's proper fan segregation etc. Game play seemed a little slower paced but more accurate to me but aside from that, it's not hugely different, and the Xbone version will have poorer visuals. Like with most next gen games it's probably the definitive version of the game but hardly worth chucking £350 quid at a console that'll inflate all your software purchases by £10 at.

Both play in 1080.
BoneDog Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 I was hoping my Mrs didn't want a PS4 for a few years but since she saw a video comparing graphics of PS3/PS4 GTA V she's decided she wants one. Can't see what's wrong with PS3 graphics myself.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Just bought AC Black Flag for PS4. Cheap price now, paid less than 30 quid. As for the graphics, once you go back to PS3 you'll notice the difference. Massive. This game looks stunning on PS4. The difference is in the finer details, fine they may be, but they make a massive difference.
FrankieADZ Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Agree with you there LIB, AC4 is a brilliant game, one of the first AC games I've truly enjoyed, even got the platinum too. Agree with you re. the graphics, certainly can tell the difference between them. Well worth getting at the price it is atm.

Although the price drop comes at a bad time in terms of stuff out. I could have 4 titles on the go by the middle of August. This, Watchdogs, The Last of Us and Diablo 3. Still have Trine 2 to finish as well, not to mention next months offerings on ps+. Never a better time than now to get a ps4 imo.

Stadt Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Is AC black flag worth getting if you haven't played the others? I played the first one for a bit about 5 years ago though so I have no idea how it works
dave_the_fox Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Dont forget to get the AC app, really helps sending out your fleet of pirate ships to get you some monies and treasures hehe Also, my favourite thing about the game was the shantys, especially "I had a dream, the otherrr nigghhtt.....LOWLAAANNDSS LOWLANDS AWAAYY

FrankieADZ Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Glad you've finally admitted buying one at launch was a huge mistake at last. tbh...its always a mistake to buy a console at launch...never get good deal...and there isnt a great deal out too. always better to get 1 least 9/12months after its been out. as for AC4 again, as Dave_the_Fox said, well worth downloading the AC4 companion app too, handy to makes you more money and find more stuff thought i just they released a few more games around this time a year..... when we hit middle of September time we get a barrel load of games..sods law

I love the fact it's land and sea based with the perfect balance between the two in my opinion. The sea combat is even more enjoyable once you've upgraded the Jackdaw and go into battle with a few Man o' Wars at the same time. I also like that you can board the ships and fight once you've critically damaged them.

I've got to shell out for playstation+ so I can't get both at the minute but I'll definitely pick it up at some point.

No, not yet but I've heard good things. To be honest I'm hoping to be a bit cheeky and borrow it off my friend when he's finished, so then I can put my money towards another game.
m4DD0gg Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Wolfenstein is good as well can be picked up cheap too.
FrankieADZ Posted 29 June 2014 Posted 29 June 2014 imo....most SP player games tend to go down pretty quick....but ones with a bit of MP in them tend to take a bit longer to go down.
Legend_in_blue Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Put some more time into Black Flag last night. It really is a stunning game to look at, better than anything else on ps4 imo, including Second Son. Watchdogs graphically should be on a par with this, why not? Unity I am sure will be even better - the whole AC series becomes more polished as each one comes out. If the story on this gets me hooked as much as those set in Italy I reckon it could end up the best one yet. AC3 was a disappointment.

Not for me, Revelations and AC3 were both garbage compared to 2 and Brotherhood.
