Matters little to me I've still not started Black Flag. With a few exceptions what a wank year for gaming, GOTY awards will more than likely be shared out between a previous gen sequel which is inferior to it's 3 year old predecessor, and a Wii U game hardly anyone will play.

Well the game is suffering thanks to another poor optimisation job by Ubisoft. The game actually runs best on X1, even though they capped it at 900p and claimed that it ran at a steady 30fps. It runs at low 20s in parts on PS4 - worse than X1. Even on a maxed out PC it runs poorly at times. The balanced reviews state that it's the best of and worst of assassins creed all bundled into one game. We shall see - I have had this pre-ordered since August. There's an issue here for me. Ubisoft seem to be pushing out games on a yearly basis which clearly aren't ready. Watchdogs. Unity. Far Cry 4? The Crew? I'm not placing any more pre-orders for Ubisoft products this year. As for GOTY contenders, I wouldn't look any further than Alien Isolation on PS4. So far. Dragon Age: Inquisition is achieving very high scores and Bioware look as though they've improved on the disappointing second instalment, which I never finished, and took the best aspects out of the original and put them into this - which I thought was pretty good.

It'll be Bayonetta 2 or Dark Souls 2 across the board (and rightly so)

So as far as goty on the PS4, currently, it's the best game. The November releases to come might change that. The user scores on metacritic tell you all you need to know.
