SmithyFox12 Posted 28 September 2013 Share Posted 28 September 2013 I'd probably give everyone a 7 or there-abouts.
kingfox Posted 28 September 2013 Share Posted 28 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 - Some good kicks, and one world class save to save us from a draw De Laet 7 - Good defensively, got forward loads of times, with good dangerous direct runs Morgan 7 - Dependable & Solid Moore 7 - Like Morgan another solid game from the young man Konchesky 7 - For the time being, he seems back to his consistent best Knockaert 7 - Played well in parts, then drifted out of the game King 8 - Doesn't get enough credit, was everywhere today, mopped up and got forward well Drinkwater 7 - Decent display, a couple of strayed passes as usual, but nothing major Dyer 7 - When unleashed he was a constant threat Nugent 8 - Good hard working display, good finish for first goal Vardy 6 - His poorest display of the season, few good link ups, but has played much better recently

Bert Posted 28 September 2013 Share Posted 28 September 2013 Schmeichel 6 - Fantastic distribution today, and some standard saves that you'd expect him to make. One fantastic save, which could've been prevented if he hadn't needlessly palmed it out for a corner. De Laet 7 - Probably his best game of the season so far. Just a shame his delivery wasn't up to much. Konch 6 - Solid, without a inspiring. Morgan 7 - Standard Wes. Moore 7 - Won a lot in the air, put his body on the line. Knocky 6 - Didn't get a lot of room to play. Corners were good, shame no-one attacked them. Dyer 7 - His pace gave them major problems but it's the same old story with Lloyd. No end product. King 6 - A quiet game but got stuck in at times and played some nice passes. Drinkwater 7 - Seems to have gained a bit of pace from somewhere. Again tried to orchestrate things. Let's hope he can keep it up. Nuge 7 - two goals, one a lovely finish and what's becoming a standard penalty which was exquisitely taken. Worked hard and tried to link up with Vardy. Vardy 6 - Won the penalty with a blistering burst of pace. His usual self, a poor first touch prevented him what was a certain goal. Hard to pick a MOTM today, no one really stood out. nlukka Posted 28 September 2013 Share Posted 28 September 2013 Kasper 8 - That save was superb. Might have cost us 2 points last week but he saved us 2 points today. RDL 7 - got forward very well, looked happy to take on his man in the final third Morgan 7 - solid Moore 7 - solid Konchesky 7 - got forward a little more today, almost took Nugent's head off with that cross second half! Knocky 7 - played a part in the build up to both goals. Not sure what position he played today, he seemed to just go where he wanted Drinky 7 - another tidy performance King 7 - good defensive work today Lloyd - 7.5 - shame didn't score first half but played in nuge for the opener. Looked a good threat today Nugent 8 - really pleased he scored from open play today, think that will help his confidence Vardy 6 - good effort but link-up play didn't quite work today. Still won us a penalty though to be fair to him.

Dickov22 Posted 28 September 2013 Share Posted 28 September 2013 Kasper 7.5. Great distribution, and a fantastic save at the end De Laet 7. Got forward well, couple of dodgy balls into the box but he's a full back, not David Beckham. People have such high expectations of him. Moore 7.5 Great double tackle near the end, strong in the air Morgan 7. His usual Konchesky 7. Solid Knockaert 7. Good in the first half, more quiet in the second King 8. Thought he was exceptional today Drinkwater 7. Strong, hustled and bustled Dyer 8.5. Played a different role I thought, seemed central a lot of the time. Thought he was excellent, runs past players effortlessly and played a huge part in the goal Nugent 7.5 Quality finish, and a good pen. Him and Vardy link up well together and run themselves into the ground Vardy 6.5. Disappointing first touch when he could have been through but worked his socks off. Constant pain in the arse for their defenders.
Alf Bentley Posted 29 September 2013 Share Posted 29 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 Couple of good saves & distribution good recently De Laet 7 Good forward runs & defensive interventions Morgan 6 Sound, but sat too deep in last quarter of match Moore 6 As above Konch 6.5 Sound Knocky 8 Creative & kept possession well King 8 MoM Busy, consistently excellent positioning/passing, faded Drinky 7 More aggressive & forward-looking in recent games Dyer 8 Played all over the pitch with good movement, passing & threat Vardy 6 OK, bit clumsy at times Nugent 7 Busy, good team play, pleased he took a chance James N/A Better than recently Hammond & GTF N/A Kept possession well, possibly stopped us dropping 2 points - even if they don't become 1st team regulars (which they might), these 2 blokes - and Wasyl - will gain us points with their experience off the bench My marks for the midfield seem a bit generous, given the near capitulation in the last 20 mins, but I'd partly blame the defence for sitting too deep - and the manager for not bringing on the subs sooner (though NP is doing an excellent job overall)

reynard Posted 29 September 2013 Share Posted 29 September 2013 Schmeichel 7 One stunning save and I thought his distribution was better. I do think he should have come out and claimed the ball for their goal. De Laet 5 He showed a lot of effort but his final ball was very poor and he lost control of the ball far too easily for my liking. Konchesky 6 Another good steady performance.I think he and Moore lost their player for the goal though. Morgan 7 He didn't have that much to do really apart from the last 15 minutes. Moore 5.5 Possibly at fault for their goal and he got away with some poor touches today. He was out thought by Scotland a couple of times and was lucky to get away with it because Scotland is now so slow. Knockaert 6.5 Huffed and puffed and did some good things but average really. Should have been brought off 10mins earlier as he looked tired. Dyer 8 I thought he had a great game. Should have scored in the first half but was a constant threat all game. King 7 He had a very good first half but seemd to fade as the game went on and should have come off earlier. Drinkwater 8 He seems to be playing really well at the moment. Very possibly MOM for me. Nugent 7 At last a goal from open play and a very well taken penalty. Overall though I thought his game was average really. Vardy 5 Where was the energy of the previous home match? His first touch was poor and he really didn't look like scoring. He's improved a lot but he really needs to start scoring soon. Subs Did fine. I think they should have been brought on 10 minutes earlier than they were though. Great result from a very average performance. Starting to remind me a bit of Cardiff last season. Mack Posted 29 September 2013 Share Posted 29 September 2013 Kasper - 7.5 We only got the 3 points due to his vital last gasp save off the line late on, granted he could have come for the cross that Scotland scored from De laet - 6 Bad day at the office for what is a very good player. They all have one now and then.Morgan - 7 Stock Morgan solid statuesque competent assured leader at the back.Moore - 7 Growing to be a very important part of our defenceKonch - 6.5 Nothing To report in an outstanding manner, maybe could have done more to stop Scotland scoring. Knockaert - 7.5 Committed creative nuisance and should have had a penalty.King - 7.5 He's not quite so Hollywood these days but is still plays an important role.Drinkwater - 7 A decent display.Dyer - 7.5 Attacking threat who should have scored in the 1st half. Nugent - 7.5 Back to near his best.Vardy - 6 Showed pace to win the penalty. Needs to be more ruthless when he gets a chance and not get pushed off the ball so easily around the box. Barnsley arrived to frustrate and with so many men behind the ball it's not easy for any side to make a decisive break through. We should have had a penalty in the first half and dyer should of scored, but despite letting them get a soft goal back we were worthy winners of what was a one sided game apart from a couple of 5 minutes spells of neat Barnsley play. Number 6 Posted 29 September 2013 Share Posted 29 September 2013 Kasper 8 - Great save at the end and some decent distribution De Laet 5 - Got in good positions but touch was often not there. Looked fatigued. Moore 6 - solid and dependable but got lucky with the "offside" goal Morgan 7 - usual Morgan Konchesky 7 - solid and better use of the ball Knockaert 7 - playing very well at the moment, willing to incorporate the simple stuff Drinkwater 7 - some good probing passes. Much better when he plays positively King 6 - ok from him, still a vital part of our midfield Dyer 7 - some good runs and an assist for the first Vardy 6 - not his best game but still a nuisance and got us the pen Nugent 7 - both goals well taken Subs: Taylor-Fletcher 6 - needs to get fit but some tidy touches. Has a good footballing brain Hammond 6 - ok in the possession but again appears to be lacking match sharpness James 6 - testament to king and drinkers that he isn't starting at the moment Nige 7 - found a way to win again but perhaps could have sured up the midfield a little earlier. Some nice football is being played again now though and we're better organised in set play defending.
