Freeview, BT TV, Sky and Virgin Media viewers are being given the opportunity to enjoy BT Sport programming for free this month. Viewers will be able to enjoy BT Sport’s entertainment and chat shows, and live sport at no charge during the weeks of October 7th and 14th. BT Sport will be on air from 7pm Monday to Friday during those weeks, giving non-subscribers the chance to sample shows like 'Beyond the Octagon', 'Rugby Tonight' and 'Life’s a Pitch'. Live sporting action during these weeks will include the FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifier between Spain and Belarus, the UEFA U21 Qualifier between England and Lithuania, Macclesfield Town v Southport in the Skrill Premier and 1899 Hoffenheim v Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. BT Sport is also opening up to non-subscribers during the weekend of October 26th and 27th, from 6pm on Friday to 6am on Monday. This means Freeview, BT, Sky and Virgin viewers will be able watch live rugby from the Aviva Premiership, including Bath v Gloucester, Northampton v Saracens and Wasps v Leicester, plus the Barclays Premier League Saturday lunchtime clash between Crystal Palace and Arsenal. Simon Green, Head of BT Sport, said the broadcaster wants to give "even more viewers" the chance to see the new programmes and live sporting action happening on BT Sport during October. "Making the channels open to all allows us to show how we are offering something for everyone, from sports entertainment shows through to exclusive live sporting action," he stated. BT Sport is free with BT broadband, with subscribers able to watch programming online via the BT Sport app. BT TV subscribers can also watch content from BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN on their television set via a YouView or Vision+ box. Other customers - those without a BT broadband subscription - can sign up for BT Sport as a standalone pay-TV service.

Yeh I missed that bit. Still, I'll be down the Counting House by then so can watch it there if I'm that desperate.
marko Posted 7 October 2013 Posted 7 October 2013 . It's still better than a poke in the eye. The Tigers are on so I'll tune in for that if nothing else. Palace vs Arsenal is also on so there will be Premiership football on.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 7 October 2013 Posted 7 October 2013 Viewers will be able to enjoy...the UEFA U21 Qualifier between England and Lithuania Nice.
Guesty Posted 8 October 2013 Posted 8 October 2013 There is no such channel on freeview! Maybe you need to manually update your channels if you've not done it in a while or it's not automatic.
ruisliptiger Posted 8 October 2013 Posted 8 October 2013 If I get it then I lose another excuse to go down the pub. So thanks BT sport, but no thanks.
Idioteque Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 I'll check it out when its free for me (Virgin) but its not worth the money, poor sods whoever has to pay for it, I mean Neil Warnock as a pundit.
Ashley Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 I thought this was free to watch? I've just put it on, through freeview and nothing comes up?
emmo1987 Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 Not coming through for free for me on sky i spoke to sky and they said due to rights you have to ring bt to activate the free viewing of it!
Soar Fox Posted 17 October 2013 Posted 17 October 2013 i spoke to sky and they said due to rights you have to ring bt to activate the free viewing of it! Wouldn't be surprised of they charged you to activate it. I ordered BT sport in August and had to pay £15 just to get the channel activated. Robbing ba5tards.
