StanSP Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 Everton striker on loan maybe ..... Lukaku? Can you loan a loan player ?
steveherbe Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 Everton striker on loan maybe ..... Yakubu?
Tringfox Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 Id be happy with Yakubu, still only 30, he would of scored a hatful of goals given the amount of chance we've had this season!!
conLAD logan Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 getting wood to produce his best form is the key, however an experienced striker similar to the likes of jason roberts and kevin phillips would also help. Maybe someone who isn't getting a game in the Prem, but tbh i'm not sure who...
Loggy88 Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 Ebanks Blake would be a good shout, I'd take him.
johnny the fox Posted 12 November 2013 Posted 12 November 2013 How old is Andy Lochhead ? he could still do a job for us..
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Id be happy with Yakubu, still only 30, he would of scored a hatful of goals given the amount of chance we've had this season!! If he is 30 then I am still only 20 in Nigerian years!!
teblin Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Everton striker on loan maybe ..... I'm guessing you have heard something then?
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Whether an 'experienced' striker is needed is open to debate. In Vardy, Nugent and Wood, when ON FORM, I think all three are good enough. I don't think we'd need to add to this list. The issue is why do these players go off form. Wood dipped dramatically last season. Whether this was due to injury or not... Is questionable in terms of the extent of the injury. I think his form just went off anyway. Nugent's form is also concerning. We all know that Nugent can be very good at this level. He's been our top scorer (Wood's goals for Millwall aside) for 2/3 seasons. Why has Nugent lost his confidence so much? He looks as though he can't hit a barn door at present. So.... IMO they are all good enough. Rather than introducing other strikers, Pearson and his coaching team need to get the existing strikers playing to their full potential. Then we'd be ok.
Happy Fox Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Everton striker on loan maybe ..... Arouna Kone job done! Scrap that he is injured! Okay, how about Jelavic
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 So.... IMO they are all good enough. Rather than introducing other strikers, Pearson and his coaching team need to get the existing strikers playing to their full potential. Then we'd be ok. This is the real issue. Where as a change may help with FFP (Nugent) I don't see how we could bring in better, proven players without a considerable outlay. So it comes down to the management team/coaching staff to sort this out now we have 3 fit strikers.

And wood and Vardy are still relatively unproven.
youglan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 paul gallagher is scoring the goals for preston but he not wanted at leicester that shame 4 goals in 2 games
Dan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Are people forgetting who his hat-trick was against?
StanSP Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 paul gallagher is scoring the goals for preston but he not wanted at leicester that shame 4 goals in 2 games League One...
lc4lcfc Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Id rather see someone come in that can play wide right either as a wide forward or winger. That's the only addition we NEED. Then we would need a LB before we add to the striking pool.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Really rate Nuge but is a 25goals man? And wood and Vardy are still relatively unproven.Do you know how many strikers scored 25 goals or more in the Championship last season?2 The previous season? 1 25 plus goals per season is a rare commodity. This 25 goal a season man is a bit of a myth. For me, if we were going to get another striker in, the only point would be adding real competition for places. Nugent looks like a striker who thinks he's gonna play every week, whatever form he's in. That's wrong.
Happy Fox Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Conor McAleny? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23841510 definitely not him so that leaves Vellios Jelavic Hope
Jace Posted 13 November 2013 Posted 13 November 2013 Chris Wood unproven!? How many goals in how many games did he score last season again?
