Experienced striker needed?

Let's be a little realistic, if we want somebody who is going to get us 20+ goals then they would cost more than <£1million, which I imagine would be the very top of our budget.

It's hard to see for that money we could get who would be much of an improvement on nuge, vardy, wood, schlupp & even waggy.

Perhaps Toffee Fox knows who it is?

he's long gone, went in a mardy because some people was calling his source"bullsh!t" and took it out on everyone. Deleted his twitter and stopped posting on here

I agree was good of him to give us and 95% of us appreciated him. But 5% always said he lied etc and he let them win and buggered off!

Yeah.

A little like the shite bert gets.

To me you either believe it, take it with a pinch of salt, or it's bollox.

But no need for people to give either the abuse they do.

Do you know how many strikers scored 25 goals or more in the Championship last season?

The previous season?

25 plus goals per season is a rare commodity. This 25 goal a season man is a bit of a myth.

For me, if we were going to get another striker in, the only point would be adding real competition for places. Nugent looks like a striker who thinks he's gonna play every week, whatever form he's in.

That's wrong.

Fair comment on 25goal man. Reckon you are right about Nuge being too much of a shoe in, just need wood to hit some form with Vardy and sure he will up his game. Having recently become a dad too I can sympathise a bit with Nuge in terms of the lifestyle shift which may have affected him a little, don't know the guy though so can't fully comment.

Good post buddy.

Nugent's dip in form does seem to coincide with the baby's birth.

Funny how it says in The Metro this morning that Martinez has urged Velios to go out on loan but he's been reluctant to leave in the past. I think this could happen, we've been linked with him before. Let's just hope he's more useful to us than Delfouneso and Kane were, otherwise there's absolutely no point.

Jealous sickos the 5%, he seemed quite straight and not to far off the mark and a lot better the a lot of the ITK's on here

If its someone who can put the ball in the back of the net then I wouldn't be looking any further than Matt Fryatt...dominance and possession in a game mean nothing if you don't score..ie Forest game

said it for months sylvain Ebanks Blake! Recovered from his leg break and now seeking new club. Free agent!

Few players of Blake's age come back the same after such a long lay off. He will be carrying weight too, I should suspect, and may well take quite some time to regain any match fitness and sharpness that he demonstrated previously.

Personally, for a club that is currently second in the Championship, I feel we can do better than Ebanks-Blake. A couple of seasons back, I'd have taken him. Now, I don't think I would. A fit and on-form Nugent, Wood or Vardy is a much better option than Blake.

We can do better, but it's all down to the wage packet I suppose.

Winger is priority for us, hopefully we will see a loan signing or two before the window closes next Thursday.

ebanks blake can come in and get his sharpness, play a few reserve games and early FA CUP ROUNDS and he'll be ready with 20 odd games to go.  He scored quite a few in a poor wolves team last season.  Regarding a winger i'd turn de laet into a right winger.  He struggles fitness wise working back to front.  Cut out half the pitch and use his pace to concentrate on attack! We'd have a quality right winger full of pace.
