So Leicester City Achieve Promotion...

Jeus Christ he's just asking a question. We're joint top of the league with over 1/3 of a season gone, it's perfectly fair to ask as an 'if'.

I know, the poor guy!

Nothing wrong with talking about it in my eyes, it's good to be confident as fans and have some belief in the players you are supporting.

Mick McCarthy knows his onions and he said we're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen or something, so I for one am fully behind planning Premier League survival already.

What a pants thread!

You better be careful or I'll pull one of my legendary 'Polls' out the bag and then everyone's gonna suffer!

As our owners don't seem to eager to give nige another contract atm.

Are you talking nige or a total new manager?

Being honest though Col Messi and Ronaldo will Gel.

Don't panic we will be top by xmas and no one will move us once we are.

Wow, some serious overreactions to what is a theoretical thread about a hypothetical situation, much better than another (Insert player name) is shit thread (he isn't).

It all depends on what we did in the summer before. If we had done a QPR or a Palace and spunked a load of cash on lots of players that really didn't give a shit or weren't playing as well as they should for the manager, then it would be time to swing the axe and try and rescue the investment, maybe a couple more games, but you know when things just aren't working like Holloway and Palace.

If we had kept the same squad maybe added 2 or 3 players with a bit of prem experience but not spent excessively, then I would give him time. Like Blackpool did with Holloway, there was no point sacking him with the squad they had as nobody would have got them doing any better. It may not have paid off in the long run as they are still in the Championship, but they don't have a bloated overpaid squad like QPR and are in a stronger position financially than they were (I would hope).

It also depends on what the defeats were like and if there was any promise or if we looked hopelessly out our depth, but then if we are hopelessly out of our depth then sacking the manager won't help without serious investment.

If you're too weak to even have a hypothetical discussion about promotion without panicking that it will somehow affect our chances of promotion, then perhaps you should just ignore this thread and leave it to the grown ups.

Langley, you ain't 'Billy No Mates' are you? Where did this thread come from? Have you considered therapy?

It came from thinking that IF we got promoted and IF it went tits up, IF you were Top what would you do? It doesn't seem to be a formula in which to follow and you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

Whilst everyone is high from being joint top in the league and the Pearson-Out brigade are keeping quiet, it's interesting to see what their view is and I thought a sensible discussion of a hypothetical question would break up what is being discussed right now which is talk about tickets, a scot bringing out a book and a 50 year old man on crutches.

Did the person who started this thread escape from Broadmoor?

No. Also I don't think mental illness is a trivial matter.

This is what I was thinking, that if you're up automatically you can plan and buy players sensibly like a couple from the championship and a could with premier league experience or maybe take a punt with a couple of foreign lads (or the entire French national squad as Newcastle have done)

But if it was the play-offs and all you've got left is Marouane Chamakh (Chamakh became the first player in Champions League history to score in six consecutive matches) and Peter Crouch who want 40k a week then it would be difficult.

But I think the club would be prepared for that.

Did you miss the part where he said it was a theoretical question?

Exactly.

Really silly post... One game at a time... Your setting yourself up for a big fall if you think we're getting promoted easily... We'll do it with more hard work and dedication!

Come on City

Come on lads! We can do it. Give it 110% Final third. Fergie time. Don't pull any punches. Game of two halves, Played them off the park. League of their own,
