jonthefox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Is that the one at the too end facing vicy park? Yep. Facing the pavilion.
Voll Blau Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Does it have to be 'official' as such? I'm assuming the ones I'll be bringing with me (I've not spoken to them but I'll be amazed if they don't show up for this) have already signed up but I take it that it shouldn't be a problem if not? One and all welcome from what I can gather.
SmelliottLcfc Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Brilliant idea, safe standing would be a good idea for L1, K1, N1 and J3. Maybe swapping the kop and family stand around this could therefore improve the atmosphere. You never know we could be a smaller Liverpool

Dan Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Meeting was very decent. Genuinely felt like everyone was in there with a very similar mindset and that there is a real long-term plan to sort the atmosphere out at the ground. Lee Jobber turned up and I've picked up further respect for the bloke. So honest about everything (I'll give a few more details later) and he really does share the same desire to improve things that we all do. I'm pretty sure everyone who was at the meeting can agree we've all learned a couple of things about the position he's in today. I think the nature of today's game contributed to an excellent atmosphere up in SK1. You could argue it was a taster, and hopefully a sign of things to come. Got time for everyone who was there today, just not sure who's who
Basingstoke Fox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 The meeting did seem genuinely productive and it'll be interesting to see how it progresses moving forwards from here. Fully behind the group though. Was good to put a some names to some faces (or 'usernames' rather ).
Ian W LCFC Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 The atmosphere in and around the Kop was fantastic today, possibly the loudest it has been all season. I'm a season ticket holder in G2 and I honestly think the SK1 corner and SK2 has the potential to be fantastic, we just need to get a few more fans in that area and it will be rocking! If Filbo Spirit has anything to do with it then I am all for it. I guess at the age of 15 I was a bit too young to go to the meeting, but I am very interested to hear what was said. Lets keep up this atmosphere and get behind the lads. The most memorable games are always the ones with good atmospheres so let's make it a memorable season!
MATLCFC Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Sounds like the meeting went really well! Looking forward to seeing what comes of it
Union FS Posted 30 December 2013 Author Posted 30 December 2013 Meeting went very well in our opinion. Thank you to those who attended, the Old Horse for being excellent hosts and also to those who showed an interest in coming but couldn't for whatever reason. Minutes to be uploaded to our site in good time. Thanks again for your support.
AndWhat? Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Was good meeting everyone yesterday. Feeling very positive about this after the meeting.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 We are pleased to confirm that the first ever meeting of Union FS will be held at The Old Horse prior to the Bolton Wanderers home match on Sunday 29 December. The meeting will begin at 12.00 and is open to all Leicester City fans that would either like to be part of us, or who are simply interested in improving the atmosphere at Filbert Way and on the road. Whilst the meeting will cover a range of topics, the main discussion point will focus on ways in which we can move forward as fans to better the atmosphere at home games. One possibility is the potential unity of like-minded fans from the Kop and N Block to create a ‘secondary’ area in the ground where fans can get behind the team together as one group. The possible trial of such organisation will be discussed in the style of an open-forum in order to ensure that all considerations are taken into account. If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance via e-mail to [email protected]. If you would like further information regarding the meeting, please feel free to contact us on the aforementioned address. For those seeking directions to The Old Horse, please visit our blog. In the meantime, we wish you all a great Christmas and hope to see you on the 29th. Thank you for your continued support, Union FS That's the badge I remember and love the most. Must be old.

I was 15 in the kop when it went adult only prices and cost me 300quid for my ticket. but I wanted to be in, with the old boys learning the songs soaking up the banter and much tho the kop now is not the same with the away fans miles away. Hopefully people at that age can bring some of it back. instead just waiting for jobber and his drum(for the record I have no problem with jobber or l1 lee is a decent guy and a passionate city fan) but the 3 song hymn sheet is boring.

Maybe one of the older ones will buy you a pint
