Union FS

An Invitation

We are pleased to confirm that the first ever meeting of Union FS will be held at The Old Horse prior to the Bolton Wanderers home match on Sunday 29 December. The meeting will begin at 12.00 and is open to all Leicester City fans that would either like to be part of us, or who are simply interested in improving the atmosphere at Filbert Way and on the road.

Whilst the meeting will cover a range of topics, the main discussion point will focus on ways in which we can move forward as fans to better the atmosphere at home games. One possibility is the potential unity of like-minded fans from the Kop and N Block to create a ‘secondary’ area in the ground where fans can get behind the team together as one group. The possible trial of such organisation will be discussed in the style of an open-forum in order to ensure that all considerations are taken into account.

If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance via e-mail to [email protected]. If you would like further information regarding the meeting, please feel free to contact us on the aforementioned address.

For those seeking directions to The Old Horse, please visit our blog.

In the meantime, we wish you all a great Christmas and hope to see you on the 29th.

Thank you for your continued support,

Great idea, the fans definitely need to take it into our own hands, the club and the club meetings with fans just seem to make no difference.

I hope this goes well.

We'll see how this pans out. In my opinion this is what was needed, now we need all those who have criticised or discussed atmosphere to show up and put there money where mouth is.

On a sperate note, well done Filbo Spirit. This is the organisation it needed and now hopefully we can press on to make things better. We'll have to see how things progress.

Good work and good luck. But how many of these fan movements to get people to certain areas do we now have running concurrently? L block, N block, SK1, now another one? Too many chefs.

Who's our Delia then?

I can't think of any famous chefs that support us, does Roy Cropper count?

From my understanding they are aiming to combine N and SK1. It could be very prosperous considering that if Safe Standing ever comes into English football it will be a prime choice for it.

It's worth considering that L, K, N & SK1 don't have any sort of organisation in terms of what to do with our support moving forwards. This will be for all the people who genuinely care about the atmosphere and is able to make it to the meeting to be able to discuss some ideas about what to do and the best way of doing it for our club. Also, I'd imagine that the people who attend this are likely to be able to scattered across the whole ground, not just in the above sections.

I like your pro-active approach to all of this Filbo Sprit!

Good luck lads! Can't risk losing my ST in K to join early doors but right behind this idea to have more atmosphere in the stadium

Top man!

Great to hear then enthusiasm,

I've phone up Leicester city and put your name down for a season ticket in the new section, they expect payment within 14 days

As far as I am concerned this is the only fan movement that counts. L1 can carry on doing what they are doing, but anyone else that wants to get involved with a real attempt to sort the atmosphere out should be getting involved in this.

I can't make the meeting but would be interested in some minutes or something being posted, as an sk1 season ticket holder, i guess you can work out where I would like this to happen.

Just a thought and I know your not looking to get the club involved, but maybe one of the people on here who are part of the supporters forum the club have, could raise the issue of a section of unreserved seating.

If there used SK1 as they used to at filbert st, where it was 1st come 1st served, meaning people got into the ground early and all the people wanting to sing actually end up stood(seated) with each other it could only help now L1 seems to be a closed shop unless you want to buy tickets on an individual basis.

Good to hear positive feedback

Definitely going about this in the right way. Good luck boys!

we need ya steve, Where do you sit? are you STH? would you consider moving?

I've already emailed Filbo Spirit to join & show my support and do intend to come to the meeting this Sunday.

I cannot make it unfortunately, flying up to sunny scotland on the 29th, Not sure who is taking minutes yet, but will be good to have a thread about the meeting to discuss :)

We don't want people who cannot attend the meeting to miss out on the main talking points, so will be updating all interested parties on how the meeting has gone and what has been discussed during it.

For now, we don't want to pre-empt what's going to be discussed until the meeting has taken place and an agenda has been drawn up.

Me and my two lads wish you luck. Trekking up to city home games is costly in terms of both time and money, and to be honest we enjoy the atmosphere at away games far more. I'd love you guys to be able to do something positive about this, and fully support your initiative and efforts. Good luck

Looks as if you're going about this the right way, is imagine it would be key to keep organisation. Keep it up lads.

Keep asking the questions :)

Would you consider if Finny?

Not attending the game but I'd probably look to do this. I'm in Hinckley and can't drive so I'd have to take the bus in and back. Definitely considering it though.
