cityfanlee23 Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Not attending the game but I'd probably look to do this. I'm in Hinckley and can't drive so I'd have to take the bus in and back. Definitely considering it though. Brilliant to hear, We'll it's a long term idea, so could be permanent for us, if we can make it work that is, when the minutes get released, hopefully we can come up with something a bit more concrete and a plan!
LCFC FOX Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Unreserved seating could be a good thing in SK1 but as long as you can still buy a ST to guarantee you have at least one seat saved for you. Buying each ticket individually would be expensive. However I honestly doubt the club will do this. But just getting everyone at the top of SK1 for a game would be a start. The main thing that needs to be raised at the meeting is how are you going to tell people at the top of N block and the people at the top of SK2, SK3, SK4 and anyone else who wants to sing to move to the top of SK1 for a game. I may attend the meeting. It depends on if I can get that side of town
Bryn Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Whatever way you choose to proceed I urge you to open a line of communication with the club and agree with their terms initially. You won't win against them, if they want to nip you in the bud they will, regardless of whether or not popular opinion deems it just or not. Toe the line, earn the trust and negotiate step by step, that is the way to success.

You just had a bloke at the top of the stairs checking you ticket was for that area. Job done.

Foxes1 Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 As an old f**t I hope this works out for everyone at the club. As someone who can remember standing in the Kop at Filbo there used to be a cracking atmosphere at some games. I can remember an F A Cup replay in the late 60's against Man C when the whole ground was rocking and we won 4-3, also a game against Oxford Utd when we needed to win to avoid relegation to the 3rd tier of English football and Tony James scored the only goal. I know its been said before that all seater grounds have ruined the atmosphere not to mention all the health and safety nonsense that goes on now.

If sk1 can generate a quarter of the atmosphere from that night. Rocking? Unbelievable. I'd love the young uns to experience just one night like that. Anyway, back to the present, good luck with all this, me and son intend to be in sk1 for the boro game - even though we said we'd give KP a miss this season, as its too expensive and the atmos is rubbish
AdamN Posted 23 December 2013 Posted 23 December 2013 Afraid I can't make the meeting, as I'm working all day, but I'll be looking to be there in future.

I want this to be something we look forward to in the future! Forget "15 years ago I want to a game and it was rocking in filbert street" Let's make it "last week it was rocking" glad to see your positive feedback!!
MATLCFC Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Fantastic idea just what is needed - We as fans need to help implement any new ideas that come from this. I will 100% be attending the 'trial' of any potential idea along with my brother and I'll even drag my dad along too need as many to support this as possible. I doubt I'll be attending the meeting due to prior commitments but would certainly like to be kept informed of whats happening. It's very refreshing to see so much positivity! :scarf:

Dan Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Does it have to be 'official' as such? I'm assuming the ones I'll be bringing with me (I've not spoken to them but I'll be amazed if they don't show up for this) have already signed up but I take it that it shouldn't be a problem if not?
