Grewks Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Grewks, I like your love for Lloyd. I like him too because he has passion and he plays all out for our club but his skill is speed he is an average crosser and a poor shooter. And if we could get Usain Bolt we would. He'd terrify championship more than Dyer. Please don't post on here again. Unless your aim is to bring a smile to the face of a mildly depressed member of our community.
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 He has changed it this season, and will do if he has to. The problem last season was we could not change personnel. This season with the addition of Hammond and GTF we can play with a defensive midfielder and a center forward, which we could not do last year. I hope you're right but up to now nothing is different
Grewks Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I hope you're right but up to now nothing is different Seriously? This season we are winning games playing badly....last season we lost games playing well.
Vardinhio Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Why do some people think Lloyd Dyer is a joke just because he's fast? He does far more than run fast with the ball, if you hadn't noticed everytime he gets an assist or goal that is down to his foot making contact with the ball! If Dyer was playing for another team some of you would be creaming your pants!
Dickov22 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Have you forgot the playoff season? 4 years ago?! He's had plenty of chances since and been awful. He was terrible yesterday when he came on. Terrible
Dickov22 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I've seen it all now. The season Dyer's having yet some fans want him dropped for Schlupp for a run of 10 games. Dear me

Dear me The abuse Lloyd gets for utilising his insane pace as an asset is akin to the YAK when all he did was score goals.... The fact is when Lloyd gets the ball on the counter everyone in the stadium thinks something might happen and there arn't many players at this level you think that about.

I think he's having his best season ever for us. Works so hard too. Top player
champions 08/09 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I find jeff schlupp a much better left back than konchesky, defensively he is a better tackler than konchesky in my opinion, konchesky flies into challenges, at times lucky not to be sent off (he is not doing this as much this season and is seemingly tackling better) wasnt schlupp also coached at man utd acadamy at left back? Also he is a much better passer than konchesky, konchesky seems at times unable to pass it 10 yards in most games. He is better going forward as he obviously also plays in a more attacking role when needed and links better with dyer, see knockaerts goal at watford, all about schlupps power down the left hand side to beat two defenders. He is also much quicker than konchesky so does not get done for pace/ pace gets him out of dangerous situations, also enabling him to support the attack quicker and give more options going forward. The only thing I see that konchesky has over schlupp is his experience? And schlupp only lost his place in the team due to vardy and wood being out, meaning he had to move up front and the game after was then dropped because konchesky came back into the side.
Tielemans63 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Jeff is officially the least efficient German I've ever seen. I question his Germasculinity.
sylofox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 So he's not good enough for us atm in some peoples eye's and the answer is to put him out on loan. You really think time at Barnsley Donny or time in div 1 will really help him. Them 5 months will really help him nxt season if we make the prem NOT. If he ain't good enough get rid with a sell on clause. Not good enough for the championship so send him to div 1 to get ready for the prem lol
Happy Fox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 A loan spell at a lower end championship club would certainly help him game time is what he needs we cannot offer him that, wouldn't like to sell him because he has potential no doubt about it.
Tielemans63 Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 I question his Germentality. It's hard to know if he's better as a luftback or as an out-and-kraut striker.

Soar Fox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 Funniest post of the year lol I stopped reading after they said "I find Jeff a much better left back than Konchesky"
Danno Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 lol I stopped reading after they said "I find Jeff a much better left back than Konchesky" 'He was coached at Man Utd academy as a left back' . Don't know if he watched the 3 games where Schlupp played up front.
theessexfox Posted 28 December 2013 Posted 28 December 2013 At what point did we start criticising one of our best performers and most effective contributors of the season so far? (Lloyd) With regards to Schlupp as a full-back, I really don't think he has a future there for us. He looked a bombscare against Watford, and poor in other games. The games in which he looked good as a left-back were because of his attacking contributions, his 'wing play' so to speak... perhaps pointing to where he should be played? He could be good back up for Lloyd; if Dyer gets injured right now, we're struggling for options there.
