deaks3 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Might be a load of rubbish but no Jeff schlupp on the bench today. Also a friend saw him leave the KP Stadium Xmas eve at about 9.10am which seems a strange time to be at the ground. No other players were there. Could be wanting more regular 1st team football. Hope I'm wrong as I think he's a decent squad player.
Captain... Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 NP made some comment on the radio about players not being happy in a squad role, and if they couldn't accept that then they could move on. I did think of Schlupp when he said that.
deaks3 Posted 27 December 2013 Author Posted 27 December 2013 Yeah I noticed that aswell. As I said it may be nothing but he was the only player at the ground then which seems a bit strange to me and then suddenly not in the squad.... He's also always on twitter but not been on today talking about the game or anything
Tielemans63 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 NP made some comment on the radio about players not being happy in a squad role, and if they couldn't accept that then they could move on. I did think of Schlupp when he said that. Didn't hear that. Fair play to NP. In all honesty I don't think Jeff's all that - however I can't see him leaving unless another LB comes in.
lgfualol Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I would feel a lil sad seeing him leave. A nice loan to somewhere would be good for him.
MooseBreath Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Not too bothered if he leaves as long as we get a replacement. We already have no cover for knockeart, we can't be having no cover on the left either.
Richard Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Probably best for the lad's career if he does move on, too far down the pecking order here now. Shame because he did once show some promise but just needs somewhere where he'll get regular first team football. Would like to see a loan to a L1 side but seems unlikely with our already small squad
GorlestonFox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 a move for him would probably be for the best a loan for him would probably be best for the club
volpeazzurro Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 He was a least at the game today as we saw him leave shortly after in his car, so at least he hasn't gone mardy. Maybe its just his style, but he hasn't actually bust a gut gut when he's come on as sub on the last couple of occasions. In the forward role he been put on in, you'd have thought he'd have been more aggressive and ran at defenders etc. He may have course have been under instructions to do otherwise though.
ADK Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 It's probably best for Jeff to move on. He's not really progressing his career much here at the moment.
Dan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Loan him out to Barnsley or Doncaster or someone. A side where he'd get games against opposition we're playing against, where that side would be no real threat to us. Everyone's a winner.
Callabinho Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Not really bothered to be honest, all pace and not much else.
blueblood88 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 He won't be missed, he really is a woeful footballer
foxfanazer Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 If he's not happy being a squad player then he should go. Think he'd only get first team football for a league 1 side atm. NP won't let anybody harm the team spirit thats for sure.
Crinklyfox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Jeff Schlupp divides opinion. I think that he could be good, but right now he seems to have lost his way. He gives the impression of not being motivated, and we can't afford that - everyone turning out has to put in a shift. I'd hate to see him reach the potential I believe that he's capable of achieving and play against us but he's not going to improve unless he plays regularly and has the management and coaching staff to help him. My preference would be to see him loaned out to another Championship or League 1 side where he could play every week. If he made progress then the situation could be re-assessed at the end of the season. If he's not willing to go out on loan then the fairest option for the lad would be to let him go.
absolutelegend Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Interesting that shakespear said that he wants to see schlupp fight for his place.
ramadaone Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 No way is he going any where until we have another left back sorted no matter how good or bad people think he is The next best left back in the club is Chilwell from the 18's who has been training with the first team but isn't anywhere near ready yet

Strokes Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Hopefully he will go out on loan, has gone backwards.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 The bloke has an attitude problem. Tada Jeffrey
Babylon Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Haven't we got bakoyokoI'd imagine he's nowhere near the team for a reason.
Devonfox1884 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Get rid. Miquel can play left-back if konch gets injured or needs a rest and wood will be back in a couple of weeks. Waggy can do a job off the bench until then.
