Angry with Alan Young's decision not to award a corner at The Den, the fan grabbed the flag, leaving it on the ground and Young needing a replacement. BBC Final Score reporter Andrew James said it looked like "a broken umbrella". The fan was led away by stewards following the incident. Millwall have yet to reveal whether they will take any action against the supporter. Leicester won the game against the managerless Lions to remain top of the Championship table. Steve Lomas was sacked following Millwall's Boxing Day defeat by Watford. Tielemans63 Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Wait, wait, wait.... Alan Young was the linesman? Pleased to hear he's found something he can actually do.
Johnny Cash Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 I originally thought it was a Milwall coach as he was wearing pretty much the same outfit...
fazzyfox Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Should damage to flags be punishable by a points penalty? I think we should hold a pole.
Out Foxed Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Should damage to flags be punishable by a points penalty? I think we should hold a pole. flagged for bad banter
Soar Fox Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Just read this on the Millwall forum. "Was sitting just behind him. It was funny until I noticed his daughter (no more than 6 years old), sitting there crying her eyes out, as her old man was being carted off. She had nobody else with her either..."
ADK Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 To be honest it made me laugh but was obviously a dumb thing to do.
Finnaldo Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Just read this on the Millwall forum. "Was sitting just behind him. What a stupid bellend. And they wonder why they're seen as Football's underclass.
katieakita Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Probably crying because she had been told to look after him.

That's brilliant... In a kind of ****ed up way. I was half expecting to read that his 6 year old daughter sparked up a fag or cracked open a special brew. Always good when someone from a football club does something to break down the stereotypes
AndWhat? Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Probably crying because she had been told to look after him. lol
Mack Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 It's always someone else's fault down there. The ref got threatened and booed off at half time and this linesman charade happened in the second. The odd thing about this thick knuckle dragger who had a go and the linesman was that afterwards one steward was doing a sort of Strictly come dancing cheeky samba with him on the touch line for a good minute or so before more stewards arrived and they properly got hold of him. He could have pushed the steward off and gone back in the stand quite easily but he seemed to be enjoying the tryst, maybe he was enjoying the man love? Their thick fans were claiming invisible hand balls and generally blaming their own inept performance on the match officials at every turn. And then there was billy no mates who sadly disappeared at half time, no doubt to go and kick the cat.... his only friend.
Vlad the Fox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 I originally thought it was a Milwall coach as he was wearing pretty much the same outfit... Full kit willy puller.
AndWhat? Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Did they do that thing where they try and charge from their top tier to the away fans top tier? Always makes me laugh that does, don't understand why the stewards don't just let them! ****ing idiots.
Dan Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Their fans were truly woeful. Absolutely unintimidating.

I said that to the lad I was sitting with, it's not like they can do anything as they are in a different stand.

MrSpaM Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Think it's a bit odd that most of the Millwall fans seem to find this hilarious and think the guy had every right to do what he did. If he doesn't get banned from the ground I'd be very surprised. Someone I worked with once got a 3 year ban at the KP for walking on the pitch and tearing his season ticket in half in front of the dug out when Sven was in charge!
PaulW Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Should damage to flags be punishable by a points penalty? I think we should hold a pole. A flag pole!!
LinekersApples Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Jokes are so much funnier when they are explained. Thanks
