Fez of Mahrez Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 What rights though? They aren't broadcasting any of the match. Just that they are covering the goals etc but not showing the people at the games if that makes sense.
purpleronnie Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 I said pre match, I dont expect to win this. Im of the mind that the Prem is generally miles better than the Championship in terms of average quality. However, there's ages to go and, as usual Id love our lads to prove me wrong. Stoke at home are very tough to beat, I can't think that too many would think it would be anything but extremely difficult to get something from this game, I just hope we don't crumble and really make a game of it.
MC Prussian Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Shameful that Stoke have only sold 9'000 tickets for this game.
Strokes Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Stringer shut up...It wouldn't be much of a radio show if he did that, still might be an improvement.

Surely the top half is much better than the championship but the lower half isn't so hot. Don't forget we're playing away against a team who play very well at home.
purpleronnie Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Shameful that Stoke have only sold 9'000 tickets for this game. Premiership games are expensive though, and we're not exactly an exciting draw for them.
MGLCFC Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 How many tickets would we sell if we played a League 1 team?
Fox92 Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Shameful that Stoke have only sold 9'000 tickets for this game. Is it? Just after Christmas, not that many people will want to spend money on football tickets. Season ticket holders probably don't get Cup tickets included like us, so that's them excluded already. They are playing a second tier team, not a Manchester United or Liverpool.
MC Prussian Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Premiership games are expensive though, and we're not exactly an exciting draw for them. Championship leaders at home. Sure there are more appealing draws out there, but 9'000? Poor effort from their fans.
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Shameful that Stoke have only sold 9'000 tickets for this game. That is pathetic, it doesn't matter who you are playing against...
Guest Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 How many tickets would we sell if we played a League 1 team? Cov?
MGLCFC Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Look at the League Cup - hardly a sell out v Derby

TheUltimateWinner Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 How many tickets would we sell if we played a League 1 team? Swindon town? Attendance19,942
Tom17LCFC Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 How many tickets would we sell if we played a League 1 team? We sold more than 9000 when we had Stevenage and Dagenham & Redbridge when we were in L1 in the FA Cup.
AKCJ Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20863387 We got just shy of 15k against a side we'd already played against earlier in the season at home. 9k is woeful.
Wanlipfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Not playing as well as we can. I am sure we can get an equaliser!
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Southampton 1-0 Burnley Thank you for the Burnley update, wouldn't be a Leicester match thread without it
Guest Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 As results stand we're 4 points clear at the top and 15 pts ahead of 7th.
Fox92 Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 How many tickets would we sell if we played a League 1 team? Exactly... As a STH I know we don't get Cup games included, so people have to pay more already. I know I wouldn't be interested in attending if it was a League One team. Today, I haven't gone, Stoke isn't the greatest draw (not like Everton, Spurs etc is it?). Add that to the fact that it's just gone past January and people know they don't have much more money.
MGLCFC Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 I'm just saying that we aren't that big a team for Stoke
Guest shearfox Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 How many tickets would we sell if we played a League 1 team? I would guess way more than 9000
