Harry - LCFC Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 From the Derby website: "....there cannot have been too many more scintillating displays from a front pairing this season than Jamie Vardy and David Nugent against the Rams, who caused sheer devastation at the King Power Stadium. The duo were ruthless. Nugent grabbed a double, whilst his partner in crime, Vardy, slid in the side’s fourth, to cap off a rampant performance from the Foxes...."
lgfualol Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Vardy is just a beast now. He's absolutely stunning, his football is really good too.
Yuki! Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Jamie vardy has 10 assists this season! That's 1 less than Ozil:o
Spiritwalker Posted 11 January 2014 Author Posted 11 January 2014 He must be on target for the player to have won the most penalties in a season.
Dickov22 Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Vardy is quality. Outpacing players all season. Touch great, can finish, link up play good. Wouldn't swap him for any other striker in the division

Wouldn't swap him for any other striker in the division I rate Vardy, but I still don't think his touch could be described as "great". It's heavy, but it is more that he has learnt how to use it now.

If you've got sky, watch tonight's game and highlight one time his touch wasn't spot on. You won't be able to

Nugent scored his second, it was from a bad touch from Vardy. You can tell from his reaction he didn't pass to Nugent.... Just a bade touch. Not moaning though.... Bloody awesome night and Vardy is quality :-) If you've got sky, watch tonight's game and highlight one time his touch wasn't spot on. You won't be able to Not quite true. When. The 2nd was the peno (won again by Vardy!)
Langston Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 When was the last time we had a player get goals as consistently as Nugent over such a reasonable period? Two and a half seasons at the club and he's bagged 15+ in each of the three campaigns he's been with us. Steady return from the guy.
Finnaldo Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Since Lineker/Smith is an obvious exaggeration. Best since our last Prem season? Without a doubt, But then again you could say that for all the team at the moment.
Father Ted Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Who remembers when Gary Megson played a 3-4-3 at home with the front 3 being Cort - Fryatt - De Vries
Guest shearfox Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Who remembers when Gary Megson played a 3-4-3 at home with the front 3 being Cort - Fryatt - De Vries We had some terrible teams, especially between 2004 and 2008
Langston Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Who remembers when Gary Megson played a 3-4-3 at home with the front 3 being Cort - Fryatt - De Vries Unfortunately I remember the game at home against Sheffield United which is permanently etched into my mind.

Bloody awesome night and Vardy is quality :-) He was simply making a nuisance of himself with the defender- had he not done so well the ball would never have dropped to Nugent. It wasn't a 'touch' more him annoying the defender and using him strength which saw the ball fall straight to Nugent
