Foxes A Hit On Social Media

Leicester City have beat off competition from a host of big names across football, rugby and cricket to finish in the Top 10 of the first Sports Social Media Index.

Compiled by PR and Social Media Agency Umpf, the index is a comprehensive analysis of the performance of each team across its official social media channels, which includes qualitative research from William Hill and OPTA - ending in a league table of 148 teams based on their use of social media.

The results put the Foxes second in the Championship table with a score of 60.3% - behind only Birmingham City and comfortably clear of promotion rivals Queens Park Rangers and Burnley, who placed 7th and 8th respectively.

In the overall league table of all 148 teams, City’s use of social media also received plenty of recognition – beating the likes of Leicester Tigers, Arsenal, Everton and Aston Villa to a place in the top 10.

Why does this matter?

Serious question.

I suppose it shows people are taking an interest... guessing it isn't a surprise considering our position and the way we are playing...
