Holidays in 2014

Beautiful city, amazing countryside, beautiful women, good beer and food... almost too perfect. I started to get nervous after a couple of days.

Yeah, fantastic little city, imagine a mirco version of Prague without the tourists or tit bars. Great location too, hire a car, buy a border pass and drive to Italy in 40 minutes!

Cheers gents - sounds like my bag, better start putting some moolah aside.

No lads holiday for me either I don't think. 2 mates have had babies this year and another gets married in June.

1st time in 7/8 I won't be going away with the lads.

Shows you're getting older buddy..

What's it like ( especially this time of year if you know)?

I stayed a few nights in Tunis city and then Bizerte in the North. I liked it. I was there in September and it was still very warm. Imagine it would be pretty warm all year round and wet in the winter.

Has anyone on here been to Tunisia?

I went to Port El Kantaou (no idea how you spell it) ages ago around this time of year and it was pretty warm and I remember it being a nice enough place but I was pretty young.

Somebody told me, years ago, that it wasn't advised to leave the complex as it's a bit rough out side?

That wasn't true when I was there probably 15 years ago, What i would say is both my mum and sister got horrific food poisoning while we were there so were in bed for 3 days.

Just looking at short breaks. 3 nights in Venice £109 each. Transfer from the airport £485 each!!

That looks good, still not made our minds up, the Algarve is looking favourite atm

It is up to you two but I would go to Venice for the novelty factor. I assume Algarve is a beautfiul place but it might be similar to some beach resorts.

I went last year end of August. I'll be honest we both absolutely hated, we went to a place called Sousse and there wasn't much around there.

It was very hot and very cheap when you are out there, but we found the people quite rude and my girlfriend felt uncomfortable when I wasn't with her around the pool.

Usually there's a big difference between resorts and the 'real' towns and cities. I'm sure if a Tunisian rolled up to Hunstanton he'd think the English were a bit odd.

worst place ive ever been to. Hotel shit and the surrounding area was an absolute dive.

Only highlight was the weather.
