It's brilliant out here. I seem to recall you saying you're going to Budapest? I'm there now, it's absolutely beautiful here, the weather is ridiculously good. The money takes some getting used to though, I had to pull out 50,000 of Hungarian money when I got here, and just bought a beer which cost me 300 (essentially 80p haha.)

The money takes some getting used to though, I had to pull out 50,000 of Hungarian money when I got here, and just bought a beer which cost me 300 (essentially 80p haha.) yeah i remember you saying a few months ago we're doing pretty similar trips just a few weeks apart. amsterdam, prague, budapest etc. glad you're having a blast man, hopefully we will be too in a week! did you book hostels and take all your currencies with you or just wing it whenever you arrived at wherever you wanted to go haha? there's 7 of us going and a few are concerned that we should have a plan and bookings etc, a few are adamant that we shouldn't really book anywhere and just do what we feel like each morning. i'm not to bothered either way as long as we get to a load of places and have a jolly good time

Probably worth ringing your bank, I wouldn't have thought there would be any problems though. For me as a solo traveller, I've learnt that the most important thing about hostels is the atmosphere. It's obviously great to have a comfy bed and good showers, but if the hostel is dead then you don't meet people and I get bored, especially at night. That's not a problem for you lot I guess though. Location is obviously crucial too, it's a faff if you have to get a tram into the centre of a city every time. It's all just a huge learning curve. You'll make loads of mistakes I'm sure, but that's part of the fun Oh and feel free to ask me any questions about places.

About 20 euros and I'd definitely recommend it. What's good about it is you haven't got someone showing you round, you just walk round at your own pace.
