smallpauldj Posted 25 January 2014 Posted 25 January 2014 Ive had to drive the Coalville team to a game before and enjoyed the away end very much. the back of the stand was flags hung up by the fans. (not sure if a fire safety certificate was needed ) For the level they was playing at and the game near Stoke i didnt expect so many travelling fans or the constant singing! When they scored it reminded me of myself at a Leicester game they went mental. I talked to some of the guys there who go every game and they had kids to so them seeing a player run into the stand like that can be nice. The Goole player shouldn't be allowed on a pitch again this season for this!

The guy is pondlife who was immediately sacked by his club. For a start, dont lunge in (witness accounts suggest it was a complete hack) and get yourself sent off, and secondly i dont think ive ever seen a player (other than the Cantona incident) even approach fans in an aggressive manner let alone try and hit them!!! Who gives a shite what random people are shouting from the stands, all their empty threats and piss poor provocations, its not hard to rise above it is it. The guy probably has some actual anger management issues.

We've seen a 58 second video, there was probably a lot more said before and after this video.

Terrace threats are all hot air anyway arent they? its all random shit thats forgotten afterwards anyway

Sometimes people just snap, obviously Coalville fans were trying to wind him up, they succeeded, very embarrassing for Coalville Town as a club though.

Well, id have to say its more embarrasing for Goole I dont say this just to labour the point of being awkward, but if he was having personal problems and his head wasnt on the game, should he have been playing at all? If you get wound up by the people trying to wind you up, youve failed. Youre better than them. The guy in all honesty probably needs some help. I wasnt there so i cant say anymore

I wasnt there so i cant say anymore You need to remember, a lot of lads in semi-professional football will play football to get away and escape from their lives they lead Monday-Friday. a lot of lads I know play for their enjoyment but also because it gets them away from the Mrs and what not. Embarrassing for both clubs, very embarrassing.

Hardly reason enough to run 40 yards trying to offer the fans out. To be honest I love it when the players dish it back to the fans, but turning the situation into a anything more than a verbal volley match is a bit mental. He's been released by Belper for hitting a team mate during training so obviously has some anger issues. I think the most disappointing thing about the whole thing is that it was filmed in portrait.
