Leicester Lass Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 I was on that row in 2011/12 for the cup game. Gave up watching the match and just busied myself drumming on the roof. Didn't have a clue who scored for us until I chatted about it with a bloke on the tube, diabolical to sell tickets like that without describing them as restricted view I don't think it's restricted if you sit down though is it? In which case there'd be no need for them to declare it as restricted view.

I complained to CFC but as they inevitably said- if everyone sat down there'd be no such issue. Ruined my day
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 That corner is crap at Forest. its not as bad as mine at Chelsea

The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Double Post people did. Where I was- the other side of the goal to this- the back two rows were empty as we all moved slightly further down. This led to overcrowding on those rows though. Think the police got involved at one point. The view wasn't much better in any case

The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Fair enough! Well it wasn't imo. We all know away fans don't sit. Less so in the cup quarter finals. I suggested they should at least warn people in advance of possible trouble if fans in front stand. Naturally I wasn't going to demand the people in front sat and ruin their day too.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Why didnt you go stand in the isle further down? Couldn't see anywhere we could've got to, it was a sell out so that didn't help otherwise the back rows would've been deserted

Fair enough to the letter of the law is what I was acknowledging. But that "seating" is a piss take IMO.

As far as they're concerned it's an all seater stadium and if you're sat the view is fine.
Voll Blau Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 You're in Mars Bar throwing distance of Andy Reid there, what's the problem?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 As far as they're concerned it's an all seater stadium and if you're sat the view is fine. Yes I get that. And I suppose they can't acknowledge standing occurs but you know what I'm saying. That's me in the corner.... That's me in the spotlight
promised land Posted 4 February 2014 Posted 4 February 2014 Chelsea away, lower shed, back row. If that's what we get to offered assuming we go up next season I shan't go That view was truly hideous, I was about halfway up, just before the wall thing from where you couldn't see if you were behind. All in all the only bad seat I have ever had away was at the Boleyn ground, right at the front on the left hand side so not even in the area of the pitch, almost facing the home fans in the other stand.
fuchsntf Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Cant be too sure, but I believe this only happens in the UK. Nearly all European grounds I've been to, I've been able to select my own tickets. Germany, France, Belgium, Holland..Spain.....Dortmund (my team in Germany) even when low % Of tickets remaining .I find it strange that you cant chose. Hold on, this season I have not been to the KP, but last season 3 times,I was able to chose my seats. A few years ago I went to Forest, and I could chose the seats. A bit confused...
Langston Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 *This thread may come across as elitist*. I'm Priority One, I always get my tickets on the first day of sales and I've lost count on the number of times I've had terrible seats this Season and last Season. I purchased my Forest ones yesterday only too find I'm stuck bang in the corner! I do plan to change these though. Anyone else had anything similar being P1/P2? (what will roughly be my view at forest) The City Ground looks a bit N64 from this view. I wouldn't stand for it.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Hope the online tickets have better view. Waiting for my tickets to arrive though
Simi Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I think the reason they sell them in blocks from left to right or whichever way they do is fair, not every allocation will sell out and you can't have a couple of people sitting bang centre and the rest all crammed in to one side. It's not out of the realms of possibility that you should be able to choose front, middle or back. I do feel bad sometimes when you've got an old geezer behind you who would probably choose to sit but everyone in front of him is standing. Fact is, I am going to stand, but if a common sense approach was used it'd make much more sense for everyone.
blue army 1988 Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 I was raising the question in general for responses from P1/P2 that feel they have been given poor seats on the first and second day of sales. Personally think the club should look after high priority members a bit more(hence the elitist bit at the top). They do loom after you more. Hence you have a ticket and people on general sale prop will not get one as they are all sold out. You should just be grateful your going.

You should just be grateful your going.Yeah but the reason he's got a ticket way before general sale is because he's travelled the country following Leicester, there's a reason why priority exists, or the sad excuse for one our club has anyways.
Craig Posted 5 February 2014 Posted 5 February 2014 Ordered mine online at bang on 9am Monday and we're in block X1, row Q. Pleased.
