Socks Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 i know loads of us thought Watfords first goal was miles offside but just paused and rewind several time on goal express and i don't think it is, bad defending though!! Also does anyone know why FLS is not on catch up yet ? (Which Forest are calling the Leicester show.....jealous?) Used to be there every sunday morning...

Guest ttfn Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I'm not sure it's even bad defending, it's just great centre forward play by Forestieri. Given the speed at which it happened and with the striker's forward momentum nobody could realistically have tracked him
TJB-fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Yeah might be the timing in which youve paused it but for me that's slightly offside. We were due some luck going against us anyway.
Prospero Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 And the fact remains that the linesman was not in line to make a judgement. It looked offside from where I was sitting.
Guest ttfn Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Yeah might be the timing in which youve paused it but for me that's slightly offside. We were due some luck going against us anyway. The ball's already been kicked in that still. He was onside.
Socks Posted 9 February 2014 Author Posted 9 February 2014 looked like the linesman was in line from goals express video, if anyones got sky on demand check it out, i cant be arsed to take another photo and upload it, kids are watching Victorious now anyway..........
Socks Posted 9 February 2014 Author Posted 9 February 2014 You need to draw the line across their heads thought it was the feet?
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 i sit dead level with the move, he WAS offside , and yes the linesman was behind the play so could not possibly make the correct decision,
Guest ttfn Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 i sit dead level with the move, he WAS offside , and yes the linesman was behind the play so could not possibly make the correct decision, What?! There's a still in the other thread showing the linesman to be in the perfect position. The still above shows he was onside. I sit in a not dissimilar position and thought it looked offside at the time as it all happened so fast. But let's be fair - that is an absolutely brilliant call from the Lino.
Brainy Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 It can never be either a tight decision or a difficult decision for the linesman can it? This is both.
davieG Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 thought it was the feet? I believe it's any part of the body and his head looks furthest forward - maybe?
Footballwipe Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 What do you mean not on catch up, I played it at 8am this morning and have just gone back to the page and played it again.
Leicester Lass Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I believe it's any part of the body and his head looks furthest forward - maybe? It is any part of the body that you can score with i.e. not the hand or arm.
Fox92 Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 He looks a bit in front to me, but you can't really tell from that angle. I recorded it so will watch later.
Bert Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 At the end of the day, the goal was given. Aggrieved as we were talking about it now won't change the decision.
Unabomber Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Looked off to me, so I'm going to go out and say that he was offside.
Matt Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 At the time I thought it was blatently offside, looking at replays I don't think it was. Shows the hard job they have, and the bias towards you're own team I guess, you're always going to swing in favour of your own team, having seen the replay my decision original decision would have been wrong I think. That said the lino on the west stand side was awful, could not keep up with play if his life depended on it.
Sparky Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 I believe it's any part of the body and his head looks furthest forward - maybe? Any part of his body he could score with so yes head in front would be offside. Arms and hands no. It's just a extremely tight decision that's gone against us.
jamesmilner Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 any doubt goes with the forward (same rule for everyone) , so it was onside and 4 players there in dream land.
Matt Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 Last week we had a goal given that at the time, that split second there was discussion whether it crossed the line or not, was it? wasn't it? Replays show it did cross the line, it was the correct decision but another referee on another day wouldn't have gave it. I'm not saying these type of situations are right, but on these fine decisions some go for you, some go against, swings and roundabouts. I'd say the decision yesterday was correct, like with our goal last week. That just my opinion though.
LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 FLS is up, try viewing through a console, worked on my ps3
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 February 2014 Posted 9 February 2014 It is any part of the body that you can score with i.e. not the hand or arm.Correct. I thought it was a legitimate goal at the time despite me being nowhere near the action. All this proves is that it was a lot tighter than some made out. If we're being pedantic about that frozen frame the ball looks as if its already been played (fractionally) and Fabrini had already started his run at this point. But judging on that frame you need to be looking at Was' right boot and Fabrinis head. Very tight but no complaints from me
