pazzerfox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Burnley are annoying me. There squad is paper thin but they never get any injuries. All you have to do to beat Burnley is to mark Ings and Vokes but nobody can seem to do it.

All you have to do to beat Burnley is to mark Ings and Vokes but nobody can seem to do it. They are very disciplined. They follow their game plan and execute consistently. They have 2 quality strikers and one top-class defender, and they built around those strengths. They always seem to be the candidate to fade away but they haven't yet. You have to credit their manager.
Happy Fox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Expected result for Burnley oh well we are still 8 points clear, they would have to go on a remarkable run to overun us and it aint going to happen imo.
weller54 Posted 11 February 2014 Author Posted 11 February 2014 Hope burnley pip QPR to 2nd though...

Native Fox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Burnley are like that bogey that keeps reappearing at the back of your nose no matter how many times you sniff!

foxes1988 Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Why is everyone worried about Burnley. Yes they are very capable of winning promotion and the league but we have to throw it away ourselves. Yes an injury or two could derail them probably more then any other promotion candidate but if they haven't had that many up untill now they are obviously looking after their players well and it's therefore unlikely to suddenly come into play. I think the small squad is more likely to affect them through burning out. They change their starting eleven even less then us. I think they will finish second behind us. They draw too many to catch us. Well ATM they do anyway. We have to just keep taking each game as it comes and making sure we have as many good performances as possible. Keep them up and we will see ourselves there.
Maybes Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Meh. Poor result but it's down to what we do. Starting with that tip down on the banks of the Trent.
PAULCFC Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Fair play to Burnley,Have to admit i was one who thought they'd have been out of it by now....hope they go up in second now.
Mark_from_USA Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 The 'Midlands trio' is in play still. Leicester, Derby, and Forest all going up. In fact, its as likely as any other outcome at this point, I'd say.
Ziggy1990 Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Taken from The Bolton News: "MATT MILLS...6 Solid on the defensive front but those long punts out of defence were testing the crowd’s patience towards the end." same old
foxfanazer Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Fair play to Burnley. I was one of the people saying they'd drop off and wouldn't challenge us. Proving me wrong

foxfanazer Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 I've got no problem with Arry. Sure his face may look like a pair of bollocks but it would be unfair to judge him on that. With the funds and players at his disposal he should be making them dead certs for promotion or at least the best footballing team. Some of his interviews this season have been irritating but this one is just stating the bloody obvious. He won't win any mind games with Pearson thats for sure
ithuriel Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Burnley are a good team, it is why they are second whilst Bolton are a disaster and who knows where they will finish? Personally I'm not to bothered because promotion now is only ours to lose, with a nice points gap and the games left diminishing.
