Kitchandro Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I find it quite amusing when people word their predictions as if they're a certainty. It reminds of the away ticket threads when someone asks how much tickets are and another poster responds "£35 unfortunately." Phrased it as if you've brought new information to light to help us all out when in reality that's not the case at all. Sorry, just a pet hate of mine. I have no idea what you're talking about.
Bert Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Over explaining a gripe is a pet hate of mine.Don't read Harry's posts then!
Fox92 Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Local derby, 2-2 draw. Standard. Here's to hoping anyway, would be amazing if Bolton could get three points.
harpendenfox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Note to Dougie. If you do well tonight you can have first option on another of our very good players. The lad in question is conveniently just down the road in Preston, and we would be prepared to accept a token payment of £250,000 for his services. And how depressing must it be to read on your team's website: "Wanderers will remain to be without striker Jermaine Beckford who continues his recovery from a hamstring injury, with Lukas Jutkiewicz set to spearhead the Bolton attack once more following his strike against Bournemouth at the weekend." Jutkiewicz? Spearhead?
Guest ttfn Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Our rivals play 4 times between now and the Forest game: Huddersfield v Forest Bolton v Burnley Bournemouth v Burnley QPR v Reading None of those are remotely straight-forward games. I'd be happy if there's a collective return of 8 points or less, which would mean that even if Burnley won both games, QPR and Forest would have dropped points.
FoxG2 Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 According to sky sports this morning Beckford may be in line for a recall for tonights match, after recovering from his injury.
Corky Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Was reading a Bolton forum and they expect a hammering, Freedman not popular at all. Reckon they'll manage a draw at best, 1-1.
Rincewind Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Draw. Two B's and local derby. Either 0-0 or 1-1
Mark_w Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 According to sky sports this morning Beckford may be in line for a recall for tonights match, after recovering from his injury. Let's hope not, really want a Bolton win.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Are we going to have a new thread every time our rivals are involved in a tough fixture? Not that I'm against it at all, it's quite nice celebrating a defeat for our opponents! Well Bolton are 19th, so it seems any fixture
Corky Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Well Bolton are 19th, so it seems any fixture So frustrating that Pearson gives our best players in Beckford, Mills and Danns to a promotion rival.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 1-1.. Local derby.. Bolton must be up for it surely???.. They need points desperately!! It's not really much of a Derby really, Blackburn much bigger to both especially Burnley.
MPH Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I wouldn't describe it as a derby. More of a Northern tussle.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I fancy a Matt Mills winner. He has actually helped us quite a bit when you consider his own goal against us and the equaliser against Forest
Native Fox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 An asterisk should be next to Burnley's name on the league table due to the amount of goals Ings has scored!
Dan Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Bolton are draw specialists at home. But Burnley are where they are for a reason. Shit 0-1'er all day long, Ings in the 19th minute.

Well I did predict we would draw with watford 2-2 tbf so I think ive earnt a bit of arrogance
Bagworthblue Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 My mate is a Bolton ST holder. Reckons they are playing so poorly it's not if they lose but how many they lose by. :'(
Harry - LCFC Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Unlike people who made predictions last year like "we'll fvck over Charlton, Blackpool, Blackburn then whoever else after them" I think I've explained that quite adequately
lancyclaret Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 I don't know why you Leicester fans are remotely worried about how Burnley do against Bolton or Forest, Derby...etc. Burnley are 11 points behind and there is no way we can make that up in the last 17 games even if we beat you at Turf Moor. I'll be amazed if we can finish second - Derby have such an easy run-in with 11 of their last 16 games against bottom half teams. I have been a Burnley fan for 40 years plus and I cannot remember us EVER winning at Bolton. Draw at best for me and I hope they don't allow Ings to take any more penalties. We get our first in about 15 games and Ings misses:(

We get our first in about 15 games and Ings misses:( :-) You know what it's like. If Burnley were in our position, you would still be nervous. We had such a bad run this time last year. Also, we dont play Saturday. If you were to win today and Saturday, gap is 5 points and then we play away against Forest where we generally dont do well. I know its unlikely but with your game in hand a mini 3 game winning streak with a couple of defeats for us and there are only 2 points in it.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Burnley can catch us, however unlikely, until we are promoted I'm not going to think otherwise
