demon_dog Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 The guy who sits next to me constantly smokes his E ciggie all through the game. Is this allowed? A steward told him a few weeks ago that he could not use it. We have a new steward now who is completely clueless and useless. Not against smokers or anything but his ciggie stinks awful!

Do those things even emit a smell? Could be just that he smells
Alex_LCFC Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I use a socialite that doesnt smell. I have been told not to use it by 2 stewards
Ashley Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 You can use them yes. Will be banned from next season though.
foxer Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 The were actively selling them in the Birmingham ground. Funny how it differs from place to place
Jace Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I didn't think they gave off a smell either probably the bloke who stinks, as an ex smoker I think they are fantastic
emmo1987 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 My pops smokes, they have no smell to them at all! Why would they ban them? Might encourage people not to miss the last 5 mins of the first half to go for one.
Fox92 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 See them all over. Someone was sat on the bus yesterday, at a first glance I actually thought he was smoking until I realised.
DennisNedry Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Funny how they're supposedly banned at the KP, was it Derby this season where they had the hot girls in spandex selling them freely outside the ground?
kylestyle06 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I noticed a guy in L1 smoking one last home game, and was told by the steward at the bottom to put it away.
FoxDownSouth Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Ive always thought they were allowed inside/public places Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
emmo1987 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Isn't it the whole idea of them? So faggers can puff them while in public places?
TheLeftSide Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 As far as I am aware they are not banned, just the 'little Hitlers' making their own rules up again! Would be good to get some clarity from the club.
MooseBreath Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Isn't it the whole idea of them? So faggers can puff them while in public places? No it's so faggers aren't inhaling harmful smoke.
danlcfc4ever Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 From a legal point of view you can use E-Cigs anywhere.... inside, outside, wherever you like.. If people are being told to put them away it's purely down to a lack of understanding by stewards. Also, they don't smell at all.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 They do smell a bit, the missus uses one and I won't let her use it near me as it does emit a vapour into the air that although preferable to fag smoke certainly has a bit of an odour, but you probably wouldn't notice it outside. It does leave a bit of an odour on your breath as well, because she was using one on the sly and though she didn't reek of fags anymore I kept getting a whiff of something nicotiney off her and sure enough, she was hooked again, but better than actual smoking I guess. The whole thing is a mess because at the moment in the UK they're completely unregulated and not subject to any laws, which is why the approach by football clubs etc is so inconsistent, although it's worth noting that more and more places seem to be banning them. I cannot be arsed to check, but I think they're going to be subject to regulation from next year, which will probably clear things up a bit, and hopefully mean that will lead to people having a better idea of how safe they actually are, because although they are marketed as being safe (and don't have a lot of the shite in that normal cigarettes do) no-one really knows if they actually are
halferowley2 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Lots of public places and transport now ban the e cig. I believe the EU are discussing banning them. If they help smokers stop that's great but any form of smoking as been banned in public for about 7 years now so surely smokers/vapers can wait till half time or the end of the match to give up for .45mins is not asking much.
absolutelegend Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Its easier to ban them rather than have to pay somebody to check if they are real or not...like you say its difficult to tell. stewards have better things to occupy their time
Haydos Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Some of the flavoured ones smell. The plain ones are literally just vapour. Only problem is it disguises people who could actually be smoking. I get why they'd ban it, must make it a right pain to keep an eye on people with real fags.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I bet most of the people who have posted in this thread have bad breath, present company included
The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I smoke normal fags in the ground so
Danizen Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 It's written on the back of match tickets that e-cigarettes are not allowed to be used inside the ground.
