I think atmosphere first half was good - understandably dropped in the second as we took the sting out of the game and saw it out.

My only gripe is that we sing every song so bloody fast! It's a joke!

Palace were at home to United yesterday, that's why they made so much noise. A travelling Man United support does a lot more for atmosphere than Ipswich, for obvious reasons.

Palace's support is pretty good but it's not a phenomenal as people make out. 2,500 City fans made as much noise as them at Selhurst last year.

Another atmosphere thread.

Honestly the atmosphere at the KP isn't as bad as people make out. Granted we aren't amazing and could do better.

I've been to over 80 football grounds in England and the majority of grounds the home support is fvcking pitful.

We did, I was there.

The problem with our support is that the vocal fans are split! People trying to organise singers in the kop is going to make things worse. The kop will still be shit, and L/K will be weakened.

I give up with atmosphere at the KP, it's always poor unless the game is a thriller. Just enjoy the away games for singing.

Well it's never going to improve with that attitude

But we shouldn't be basing it on other terrible atmospheres, we should be striving for what we want. A ****ing amazing atmosphere!

If your saying we only have 1200 or so singers,we might as well just give up now.But I genially feel we have more. There just scattered all over the place. It could get worse if we get promoted with more tourists coming, and I for one will ditch home games for good.

I hate the lack of atmosphere, but let's be honest we have talked about this topic on here a million times.

Someone on the radio Leicester phone in said that he thought the atmosphere was ok and that in reality we will never get the Besiktas v Fenerbahce atmosphere down at the King Power.

But why not!!! I see Dortmund, Celtic and Boca Juniors and think WHY NOT ???

Check out videos of St Pauli from Bundesliga 2. How do they do it?

I love it when we do get a bit of an atmosphere going, as I have said before, I go to football matches not just to watch good football (let's be honest over the years I have been going, there have been many spells when the football has been appalling), I go for the banter and the atmosphere, the whole experience.

Today, the lack of atmosphere from Ipswich didn't help, let's be honest, we tend to respond to when away fans make a bit of noise.

Have I an answer?? Sorry no, As I said at the start of my reply, we have discussed this many times on here and we have never come up with a definitive way to improve the atmosphere.

Please, Please don't say swap the Kop and family stand, the usual suspects always do this when the atmosphere is discussed, they think they're being ironically funny (your not, you're just being your normal boring selves).

It's simple - they have Ultras.

It's a mentality that's growing over here (see Celtic, Boro, notably Palace) but is strangely still opposed by many 'traditionalists' who deem the choreographed chanting and displays 'cringeworthy'. As if there's something embarrassing about not sitting in silence. What's massively baffling there is that many of the same types go on to sing 'We Love You' and do the Poznan - seemingly happy to get involved once the rest of the country stamp their approval on it.

The debate will continue ad infinitum until a group - be it Union FS or whoever - is accepted and committed to. People have the chance to join them from next Saturday and make a difference. I hope that people take the chance!

What needs to happen is that those who already sit in the Kop and want to sing/generate an atmosphere move to sk1 and those that sit in the east stand that want to sing/generate an atmosphere move towards l1 and k.

Pretty much.

I didn't think it was too bad at all yesterday, particularly in the first half. The second half was poor but it was a complete non-event.

So if the games crap we have to be crap as well?

Yes?

If we were to perform superbly, then it would then become a good game. Surely you can't play fantastically yet have a crap game?

I've no idea what you've just said.

I think its all down to what is happening on the pitch. Look at the Bolton game. Fantastic edge of seat stuff, increased blood pressure, high tempo and the game swinging from end to end. I was engrossed in it and willing us on vocally as were most fans. Yesterday, easy, no pressure with the result never in doubt. Both the team and fans just went through the motions.

You said something to me on Twitter but the biggest reflection of this was Arsenal v Palace. Palace get slated silly for their fans style yet Arsenal's 55k in total silence went unspoken of.

Too many fans in this country are obsessed with the mainstream. See our latest song for details.

Can see why it was crap but it doesn't have to be at all. Make something of it I say. Convinced if the atmosphere becomes special at Leicester then that'll keep people going regardless of what happens on the pitch.

Too many more arsed about standing around looking moody than actually getting involved and singing. You're at a football match for fvck's sake, not on the pull.
