broughtonblue Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Just out of interest, why the sudden extra 5k fans today, half term offer or something, or just because the team is doing well?
LCFC FOX Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Actually they tried to get the Mexican wave going which failed. They also joined in with the going up and staying down chant
Father Ted Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 really? I thought it was great. We were singing from the off and admittedly the players started brightly enough anyway I thought we spured them on more so? Ah well 3 points and shortly on the way to Loughborough to sing 'leicesters going up' on the dance floor in Rev's, who gives a **** about my thread?! I thought you were trolling... until I read this...
maynefox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 The second half atmosphere was terrible from L1 - apart from the apparent banter with the Ipswich fans. Round Sk1 a handful of people tried to get some songs going
Danizen Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 A special mention to the girl with the fit arse near me today.Top of H1? Were you the reason her and her boyfriend had to move seats?
65RosesFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I managed to catch the second half of the Palace game this evening and the atmosphere at the KP compared to there's is embarrassing. Even when 2-0 down they were non stop and loud. It's not like there's a small part of the ground that are non stop, and before people say L1 is, I have a season ticket in L1.

Like most fans know...old grounds like that keep the atmosphere.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Special mention to Nigel for teaching me how to love again
65RosesFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Like most fans know...old grounds like that keep the atmosphere. True. But still I think it is pretty dismal atmosphere down the KP at the moment considering it's the best football since the MON years, we are unbeaten in 13 and 8 points clear at the top. Would be interesting to see what supporters from other forums thought of it after they come to the KP. I think they would be surprised how quiet it is.
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I thought the first half was ok but it seemed to go quiet in the second. I sat in G (usually L1) today and was impressed with sk1 and the corner, they seem to be getting something going there.
AndWhat? Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Like most fans know...old grounds like that keep the atmosphere. Nothing to do with it being an old ground. It's the Holmesdale Fanatics, they control their main singing section and they never let up.
Weller in Tights Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I hate the lack of atmosphere, but let's be honest we have talked about this topic on here a million times. Someone on the radio Leicester phone in said that he thought the atmosphere was ok and that in reality we will never get the Besiktas v Fenerbahce atmosphere down at the King Power. But why not!!! I see Dortmund, Celtic and Boca Juniors and think WHY NOT ??? Check out videos of St Pauli from Bundesliga 2. How do they do it? I love it when we do get a bit of an atmosphere going, as I have said before, I go to football matches not just to watch good football (let's be honest over the years I have been going, there have been many spells when the football has been appalling), I go for the banter and the atmosphere, the whole experience. Today, the lack of atmosphere from Ipswich didn't help, let's be honest, we tend to respond to when away fans make a bit of noise. Have I an answer?? Sorry no, As I said at the start of my reply, we have discussed this many times on here and we have never come up with a definitive way to improve the atmosphere. Please, Please don't say swap the Kop and family stand, the usual suspects always do this when the atmosphere is discussed, they think they're being ironically funny (your not, you're just being your normal boring selves).

Well said pal. Looking forward to SK1 next Saturday. Fingers crossed it's the start of a decent movement.

Organisation.

Put them fookers in a new stadia and they too will be scattered all over the place(unless they all move en mass to the same part)

Put them fookers in a new stadia and they too will be scattered all over the place(unless they all move en mass to the same part) Of course I went to Filbert Street They would move en mass because thy are organised. Before the HF Selhurst Park was almost as bad as ours! I do think the old ground helps, but I don't think that's the only or even main reason.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Atmosphere of a friendly today Atmosphere of a friendly down there every week IMO. Left with Sven Flying down Burmoor St with £1.6m stuffed in a suitcase & a one way ticket to Qatar the cvnt.
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 When we left filbert street we did move on mass. The Kop for Kop sk1 sk2 ect. The problem was that they didn't put the away fans in the same place, so after a season those who didn't move straight to l1 moved (like myself) the second season which split the support. I do feel however that over the last two seasons things have improved, and yes we talk to death about it on here but to be honest that raises awareness of the problem of a lack of atmosphere and with groups like Filbo spirit trying to get things improved the organisation is starting to take place.
Jakemoore Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I was in K1 today, I thought the atmosphere was utter shite tbh people were desperate to get out of the ground and didn't want to stand and applaud the players which dissapointed me!
steveherbe Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Sk1 next week, the revolution will start there. If it doesnt, there's gonna be some serious arse kicking. Thanks to filbo spirit we've been given the chance to make a difference. If you dont join in, dont moan about atmosphere.

There was a bloke behind me yesterday who moaned the second half was quiet yet when sk1 sang and a few of us dotted around G joined in he remained silent.

theessexfox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 First home game I've been this season and it was very good, better than in previous years and better than the home support of all the away games I've been to (Charlton, Millwall, Ipswich)
