Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 They are free with the 14-day trial. I would like to see them on Youtube tbh. I think it would be good for the moaners to see how much he has contributed in terms of goals. I imagine the compilation of assists would be even longer.
Bert Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Bloody love Nuge. Along with Kasper he was Sven's best signing. We've had a great return goals wise each season from him, 9/10 he puts a good shift and generally contributes to the team. Links the midfield and attack so well. We would certainly be a worse team if we didn't have him in it I think. Here's hoping he gets a new contract.

Was about to say aren't Father Ted and Johnny Cash going to come in here and say well done???

Iwan is a Welshman Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 That trial rolls on to a £4.50 per month trial unless cancelled as well. Sneaky.
Alex_LCFC Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 So all stand up and clap in the 50th minute.... great idea!! Would give him a massive confidence boost

Bert Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 great idea!! Would give him a massive confidence boostSurely 35th?
cityfanlee23 Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 I understand all the credit and well done to him, Recently he's been decent but the pressure he came under was genuine and he deserved it with the form he went on from Feb-november last year.. (Not getting into all that again) But for christ sake... Every single thing that happens at leicester city these days, Fans start saying "Lets clap in the x minute for them" "Yeah good idea" "Clap for the milkman" "Lets clap for the postman for delivering the mail" with all due respect, he's a footballer, it's his job... Clapping for the owners for the work they have done for the club is one thing.. But clapping for everything the club/players do is getting out of hand, it's suggested for everything! Good on him though, well done nuge, Keep proving my doubts this season wrong.

I'm sorry Lee, but what's wrong with showing a little bit of appreciation for what the players have achieved/are achieving this season?
cityfanlee23 Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 I'm sorry Lee, but what's wrong with showing a little bit of appreciation for what the players have achieved/are achieving this season? It's getting ridiculous now, Seen atleast 4/5 "Lets clap in x minute" suggestions since the owners one.. shall we clap conrad logan when he reaches his 15th season as a leicester player? Or shall we clap vardy when he gets 15 goals? Or maybe clap wes for making his 500th tackle Nugent is a striker, It's his job to score goals.... Anyone would struggle to find a 20+ goalscorer and we may have one.. but so far averaged around 15 goals a season.. So let's wait until he hits his 100th for us shall we? Think we are scraping the bottom of the barrel if we start applauding stuff like this.. 100 goals for a club is a strikers milestone.. not 50, It's his job.. But wont let that take anything away from nugent he's been a good servant for us.

In general, I think we should show more signs of appreciation when players are doing well. Clapping is just one way of doing so. Maybe it gets a bit redundant for some - personally, I'd say that's one of the reasons footballers have chosen their "job" - playing well and getting positive feedback from the fans. Strikers aren't just there to score goals, they also need to play as a part of a team. This actually goes beyond football - wouldn't you like to receive a bit of praise here and there when you're doing a great job yourself?
Bert Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 I personally think this clapping is a load of tosh. People were doing it at the start to show support to players like Petrov who was battling leukaemia. Now it's seemingly done to fit in with a trend. Personally would just prefer to sing his name to show appreciation.
Kitchandro Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 He's a City player, aren't we supposed to clap and sing for him anyway?

I bet you aren't given that you were trying to encourage the management to "sell him for a pound while he is still worth something"
cityfanlee23 Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 I bet you aren't given that you were trying to encourage the management to "sell him for a pound while he is still worth something" ...... At this current moment he is leaving on a free..... And at the time he was playing shit for 8 months...
One Arm Babba Posted 27 February 2014 Posted 27 February 2014 Definitely one of the best strikers we have ever signed. I think he could do well in the prem now that he has a little more experience. I wouldn't rule him out getting an England recall if we get promoted and he bags a few goals next season.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 February 2014 Posted 27 February 2014 ...... At this current moment he is leaving on a free..... And at the time he was playing shit for 8 months... Incorrect, had numerous performances of note in that 8 month period. Still set up and scored plenty of goals, club myth.
Bert Posted 27 February 2014 Posted 27 February 2014 Incorrect, had numerous performances of note in that 8 month period. Still set up and scored plenty of goals, club myth.As well as not playing a game for 3 out of the 8 months!
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2014 Posted 27 February 2014 As well as not playing a game for 3 out of the 8 months! I think Lee's right there. February to May is four months and August to November another four. Eight in total.
Bert Posted 27 February 2014 Posted 27 February 2014 I think Lee's right there. February to May is four months and August to November another four. Eight in total. But in September when all this cropped up, it was 8 months then as well.
