Ugh. More Control.

Sam Lake is to writing games what Joey Barton was to writing tweets ten years ago. Or Russell Brand.

Oh he's so deep, he's so philosophical, oh he's so clever.

Yeah, he copied and pasted a first year philosophy textbook. Great.

I didn't mind Control, was one of his less wanky projects.

Easier to dodge (bigger window of mistake allowed.) But i do try to parry as much as i can just for the counter attack damage. I have just finished act 1 this evening.

Just finished act 1 myself.  Never saw that one coming from a turned based rpg, and I've played many, wow.

Great game though.

I've just met Clive... again.  lol

Lots of exploring for you now then 👍

Arc Raiders is getting boring now whilst waiting for the Expedition so i have tried out some other games. Played Still Wakes The Deep. Quite enjoyable for something that can be finished in just a few hours. Ive been wanting to play an RPG so ive downloaded Granblue Fantasy Relink. Never played a Granblue game. Only a couple of hours into it and enjoying it so far. Just hope the story keeps me interested

Managed to complete my first run on Hades now! I used the Aegis shield with the aspect that turns the throw into a sawblade thing. Think that was the missing piece.

I didn't realise Hades 2 isn't on console which is a bit gutting as was going to try that too!

Dualliste, Expedition 33.  Hugely satisfying to pull off an 8 step dodge combo followed by a perfectly timed gradient attack to finish him off for good when just about wiped out on his next move.

Great stuff.

Good stuff. Due to work being crazy ive just finished Monnaco Station so not played as much as id hoped. Spent far to long exploring areas after act 1. Some of them clearly for end/post game as a 1 hit/missed combo/parry will wipe my party out. Im at level 34 with Verso and Yune. Great game and cant wait to put the hours in post xmas and new year

I've hit a brick wall in the form of Renoir outside his mansion.  Tried this 5 times now and getting pasted each and every time.  His disappearing move is killing me and then those damn petals reset his health just when I'm getting somewhere.  I'll keep trying... All my characters are sub level 30 which is probably making this harder than it should be.  lol

Ive done no end of exploring since being able to swim and break through the sea corel. Some good outcomes some very bad. About to start the two axons. My characters are all mid 40s lol.

I've done a bit of exploring but am probably under-levelled at this point in the game.  I'll have another look at my lumina setup and explore Old Lumiere some more and hopefully get past him.  Failed another 5 times with him although I can time his mask attack and normal 5 hit combo no problem.  His vanishing move is doing me as is his health pick up move.  I can't down those in time with my current setup.

Love when my pictos and lumina set up works after tweaking them after a defeat. Very rewarding.

Probably the best GTA-like I can remember playing.

Tip: if you have a complete edition with all the DLC, see if you can start your save without it. I'm sure IIRC it ended up just adding shit loads of weird, wacky, overpowered shit in to the game and ruining it a bit?

But it's been years, I might be misremembering.

Got him.

Ended up almost messing it up having missed a QTE on the petals to finish the remaining one off.  Then he maxed out health and vanished one of my characters.  Luckily, he didn't use the petals again as a move and I finished him with the reserve party lol

I used auto rush and shell on all characters from the start which seems to have made the difference.  We continue!

That double burn picto in Visages is a very useful addition.  Lune now packs a serious punch :D

Expedition 33: now at the monolith and doing quite well with all the party members.  Unless I'm using him incorrectly, I find Verso the weakest of the bunch and use him the least.  Lune and Maelle in combination with fire attacks seem to be the way to go.  I have Monoco farming skills as the third guy.  Sciel is also pretty strong but the fortune setup is a little confusing to apply correctly.  Parries are getting a little easier to pull off, I reckon it's roughly a 50 50 success rate on those.

You should have gotten a weapon almost straight away with Verso that makes a basic attack essentially a free action with 50% damage increase.

Around about the same time you should also get a picto that makes basic attack hit twice.

Combine that with lumina that boost his basic attacks with other effects makes him extremely versatile and useful and throw out a lot of damage.

Cheers for the advice.  I'll check it out later after the second half of this shocking game of football.  lol

Started this today. Liking it but the bloody camera is annoying at times.
