I played this and my character died in literally about 2 mins. So deleted the game and never went back to it. I hear so many good things about it that i should probably try it again. I obviously picked a poor stat spread and then made some daft choices. Cant even remember what i chose that got me instantly killed lol

Played this for tens of hours and only got myself killed once, doing something very stupid, but entirely in character lol

Finished Unicorn Overlord with platinum trophy. Took just shy of 40 hours. Enjoyed it. Now to see whats available on the Switch 2 before going on holiday next week. Perfect console to take abroad. Any suggestions?

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is amazing. Square Enix really did a fantastic job. The open world is immense. I'm still stuck in the Gongaga region.

You can discuss the changes made plot-wise, and yes, it can get a bit tedious at times, but this game surely has tons of replay value and so many things you can do.

Talking about bang for the buck.

Any good?

Saw loads of people complaining about the microtransactions.

Yeah it’s good. Few bugs as with all of these games so I’d give it a month. Transactions are grim, but it’s just for character and weapon skins that I don’t care about so doesn’t bother me.

Anyone given Unhinged a try on Netflix?

I gave it a couple of minutes and will go again tomorrow night as it was engaging enough with the mobile phone to see it through.  Interesting concept although I've read it's very short.

Finished FFVII Rebirth.

Bawling my eyes out at the very end. Hit me just like the original, even though they shuffled around and added so much.

And one iconic scene is missing completely. All I'll say is pool.

Anyone play any table top wargames apart from the obvious warhammer 40k?

I'm part way through my first box of Warlord Bolt Action if that counts, wouldn't describe this as playing though

Ive got some konflict 47 stuff but never played it. Got into flames of war 15mm ww2 stuff as I like the idea of whole companies and battalions fighting it out.

Finished Star Wars Outlaws main story, can't be bothered with the rest or the platinum.

A very uneven gameplay experience, sometimes it was great, others it was poor.  The parkour terrible in the open world and some of the level design was off, particularly towards the very end, the confrontation with ND was poorly done.  The story itself was very average, Vader seemed out of place and in the game just because it's Star Wars therefore he needs to be there no matter what.  The worlds themselves were done well though and Jabba's Palace was probably the highlight.

Overall, average, I'd give it maximum 6/10.

Was wondering whether to give this a go but with my current list of games to play over the next few months I will probably just give it a skip, not really seen any reviews to make it worth picking up

If you have a long list, place it at the bottom.

I did have one bizarre moment where I was detected in an enemy building (the game is predominantly stealth and the shooting mechanics are fairly weak), then aimed to shoot at someone but the game just teleported me into the open outside of the building I was in instead of firing at him.  Weird stuff.  lol

I'm just playing this on PC now.

I keep flitting - I'm not sure how GREAT the actual game is but the nostalgic element is keeping me playing it for sure.

I liked the scenery and the expansive world. It's beautiful. But the whole Chadley bullshit with area intel is poorly executed. It's just the same tedious fetch-quest style missions with very little interesting points about them. That's becoming a bit frustrating to work through. Particularly as I obviously want to 100% it.

I read somewhere, and I think I agree, that this middle section seems like it's been watered down because they're struggling to make this a proper trilogy as the source material isn't long enough for that.

That being said, I like it and I'll keep playing it until the finish.

It's much more stretched-out, for sure.

I'm more disappointed they don't let you play two characters yet.

And even though it can drag at some points (as you want to keep on going and see what they've done with the rest of the game) and despite the sometimes cutscene-heavy stories and plethora of side characters, I think they've done a terrific job at keeping the main quest and most of the previous elements, whilst simultaneously appealing to a broader, younger audience.

There's just so much to do. I'm at 130+ hours and still have to get one particular summon, the hardest to obtain in the entire game (you have to complete several tasks and then three trials at the end).

Getting an A with each song on the piano.

Completing all fighting simulator challenges, amongst others.

I can't decide on which is worse, RDR or RDR2.  RDR2 is doing a fantastic job of managing to be even slower than the original.  Falling asleep playing this lol

Somebody please tell me it's going to get faster, and better, that this?  The original was also vastly overrated imo.

I played the first one for about an hour too and never touched it again. Just couldn't get into it. So many people say they're some of the best games ever though. :dunno:

Greatest game of all time, all I've got to say!

If you're past the opening Chapter and still find it boring in CH2 then not sure what to say, maybe just not your type of game?

EDIT: Haven't played the first one and its not required to enjoy RDR2 as a prequel anyway. RDR probably hasn't aged that well now, maybe a bit outdated.

RDR2 is good I just never found it to be particularly fun.  I'd stick with it as it does have a great story behind the rather dry gameplay.  It suffers from the same problem that Death Stranding does in that you have to get 20 hours in before the story actually picks up.

I got as far as the train robbery then put it down.  Too many basic prompts to do this and that and painfully slow to boot.

Have moved onto Until Dawn remake version.
