jimmeh Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Losing most weeks. Difficult to tell until it happens. But Cardiff spent a lot of money in the summer and in January and have been awful. If our season was anything like there's has been then I don't think I would enjoy it.
Voll Blau Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I support Leicester City. I'm not going to stop supporting them because we have a bad season, if that's what happens.
Dan Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Playing in a nobhead dictator's favourite colour, embarrassed by his actions all season, sacked the manager who got you there to replace him with someone with zero experience managing in England, spending millions on players, getting slapped 0-4 by Hull. A categorical no. I would take staying down over doing what they've done.
jimmeh Posted 6 March 2014 Author Posted 6 March 2014 I support Leicester City. I'm not going to stop supporting them because we have a bad season, if that's what happens. Yeah didn't suggest that. Said would you enjoy it?
ScouseFox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 It's different though, isn't it. If we'd lost our colours, lost our manager who we all loved and took us up, spent a lot of loads of new players who turned out to be shit and were getting battered by shit teams at home I think we'd all be a bit pissed off. We haven't changed our colours to go up, we haven't spent massively, we haven't got a cúnt of an owner. We're doing it properly with a great squad who all love playing here atm and a manager who may be a genius. If we keep them together and add a few other quality little players and still end up going down then so be it. I wouldn't enjoy losing, nobody does, but I'd accept it. It'd be tough to accept as a Cardiff fan atm. Could look at it the other way and use Hull as an example though. Bought some hungry players (Livermore, Huddlestone, Jela jela vic etc), kept their manager and have beaten Liverpool at home, drew with Spurs, win games here and there and might be staying up. If we go up just wait and see what happens. No need to be pessimistic and assume we will end up like Cardiff.
MooseBreath Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Hopefully Pearson is a bit more astute than malky was at Cardiff, and regardless of our position hopefully our owners are a bit more patient than tan. All signs point favourably on both points
LCFC FOX Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Our owners are different to Vincent Tan though. They've stuck with Nigel before and I'm sure they will stick with him again. Pearson is no mug he will get enough players in.
LanguedocFox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Hopefully Pearson is a bit more astute than malky was at Cardiff, and regardless of our position hopefully our owners are a bit more patient than tan. All signs point favourably on both points From the evidence of last season, the Thais are much more patient than Tan. When we were having that fairly bad but not disastrous run it would have been very easy to sack Pearson and put in someone else. Would have been disastrous, but - if they were like some owners - unsurprising. I honestly think - and hope - that even if we spend next season fighting against relegation, that they maintain that faith in Pearson. I know I will. Enjoy it? Well, I've been there, done that too many times to recall, and I've never enjoyed it - great when you escape though.
tokyo_fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I kind of just want this next month to last forever….assuming we don't screw things up completely!! Its gonna be tough next season and losing more than you win is eventually quite soul destroying! I like to think we'll do ok. There's a lot of very average teams outside of the top 8 or so but if the best we can do is, say a 1-1 draw away at Hull (who should stay up), then I'm not sure I'll enjoy it
Voll Blau Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Yeah didn't suggest that. Said would you enjoy it? I enjoy supporting my team win or lose. If I didn't, I wouldn't do it.
Dan Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Hopefully Pearson is a bit more astute than malky was at Cardiff, and regardless of our position hopefully our owners are a bit more patient than tan. All signs point favourably on both points I'd say we'd be going up with a better and younger side too.
jimmeh Posted 6 March 2014 Author Posted 6 March 2014 I can guarantee that if we lost our first 8 games of next season everyone on here would be saying Pearson out. We only have 30 games left to stay up. Not having all this patience thing. It's okay saying it now but when it comes to it you would all be saying he isnt a premiership manager and we want an experienced man in to keep us up.

I'd just like to add that if we get promoted and then relegated next season, the amount of money we get will make us very competitive for several years, and in terms of FFP we will be in a very good position, so although I don't want us to lose every week, in the long run it may mean we don't have to wait another 10 years to play in the Premiership, should we get relegated.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 I'll enjoy next season win or lose up until the point where we got totally cut off from the rest of the pack if the worse was to happen. Even if we spend all season in the bottom 3, as long as we are only ever a win away from pulling out of it, then i'm well along for the ride. The worst part is if your say 10 points adrift and you know its a formality.
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 If we're largely outclassed and don't compete then no, I won't enjoy it.
Corky Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Not really, they've been awfully run, although I'd take beating Man City and a very close rival. I'd rather be like Palace, not outclassed every week, won a fair few matches and constant backing from the supporters.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Next season will be tough if we get promoted We will be favourites to go straight back down I think we should just enjoy it no matter what happens, we need to be realistic
MrSpaM Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 We've got a squad full of great characters who are getting better and better. Cardiff had Craig Bellamy. Thats why Cardiff have done garbage this season, and the reason I think we'll do a better job of it should we get there.
Leicesterpool Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Cardiff's problems are caused by off the field problems, an interfering chairman. The same happened with Qpr.

All? ...more like the same people who usually do it.

If we lose our first eight next year I'll donate every penny I have to Foxestalk.
Istilllovefilbert Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 Isn't getting promoted the reason why we are all getting excited? Even though we know we may get a tanning now and then next season, the prospects of our current side (with a few quality additions) competing way above the bottom three is as exciting as gets being a city fan. So long the fans keep expectations at a sensible level, back the manager to the hilt and create an atmosphere in the stadium...**** yeah, I'm gonna love it.
Dan Posted 6 March 2014 Posted 6 March 2014 We've got a squad full of great characters who are getting better and better. Cardiff had Craig Bellamy. Thats why Cardiff have done garbage this season, and the reason I think we'll do a better job of it should we get there. Bellamy's a poor example. He's a winner on the pitch.

I don't think we'll be any more likely to be relegated than the other two promoted clubs.
