Anyone know what condition their pitch is in?

don't see how it matters to be honest.

Yes we like to play football, but with the pace of vardy our direct game isn't bad either.

Would be fantastic to win with a great performance, almost full circle from the disaster of last season's trip there.

2-0 victory, Vardy and Nugent.

Too right.. last season there was awful.

I fancy us again.

2-1 City, Nuge and Vardy.

Disgraceful how clubs like them and Bolton can run up silly amounts of loses and nothing ever seems to happen. Makes you wonder if there is any point in balancing the books!

Anyway, I've got a decent feeling about this match, could we sneak a 2 - 1 victory? Could we?

We need a chant to inform these clubs that this year we've spent a total of 500k in transfer fees.

This is going to be a very tough game and I hope our boys will be up for the challenge of a team scrapping for their lives. Start with a quick a direct tempo and we should be fine and should cause Barnsley to tire towards the latter minutes of the game hopefully!

Pretty hard to blame them when they will have just seen huge losses posted in the last couple of weeks. Whilst we know the ins and outs of our financial situation I wouldn't expect other fans to.

In terms of what we've spent on transfer fees in our starting line-up we'll still have Drinkwater, James, De Laet, Koncokaert, Morgan and Vardy who were all approaching/not far off £1million each. Other free transfers such as Schmeichel, Knochesky and Nugent we know are on good money. Whilst the days of £5million on Mills and £3million on Beckford have gone, we've still had resources far greater than most Championship sides could hope for.

Clubs like Barnsley are a credit to football, punching above their weight and within their means so I wouldn't begrudge them throwing the 'big spender' tag our way. The only thing that matters is the league table. In the last few years Barnsley have got far greater value from their spend than we have but thankfully this year the tables have turned.

Barnsley going to put up one hell of a fight, can see this being tight like the Bournemouth game, however I know Nigel will keep them in check! still think we will be highly motivated to keep this run going and keep pressure on Burnley till end of this month

Barnsley 1-2 Leicester. 0-0 half time, poor first half but we edge into it and beat them.

That said if we play anything like the last two home games I think we'll hammer them.

Agreed, but to put us in the same bracket as Bolton who are basically Leicester City circa 2012?

That's a great disservice to Nigel who has worked very hard to balance the books and make sure we're working within our means. FFP is a relative bracket, so to be annoyed that we've got bigger pulling power over his club- he's essentially admitting how (for want of a better word) small they are, something that I gaurentee he'd get his back up over of a comment like that was made directly.

Whilst I agree with your point that it's widespread in the media regarding our situation, to make comments like that requires some background knowledge or else it's just pointless shite. (Which probably makes sense considering the importance that people place on the media these days!)

It's almost a 'don't hate the player hate the game' situation for me. But let's hope this lavishly constructed set of millionaires can do a job on Tuesday, that's all that matters.

There seems to be some pessimism around again...

We've had 10 days off (apart from those involved in the internationals), have a fully fit squad (I believe?) and are playing really well.

Though I respect Barnsley, they arent very good.

If we play our normal game, control the midfield and hit on the break, we'll win.

I'm confident for this one.

Agree.

People are letting last season get into their heads. We are a better team now. Pearson will not want to replicate the horrors from last season.
