Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Need to stamp our authority early on in this one. Big game and if we win and QPR and Derby faill to then we are in a dream positionThis Come on Leicester!!!
MGLCFC Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Whilst this is a game we should win on paper nothing can be taken for granted in the Championship (Cardiff lost to Peterborough twice last year). A performance like last season at Barnsley or even like we played at Sheff Wednesday will see us come unstuck. I'm sure NP will be get them focused and I'm hopeful that we can come away with three points. There are those who say we should smash them, unfortunately this rarely happens and whilst a comfortable victory is always welcome, I see this being a tight game with us winning by the odd goal (hopefully). I'm not a pessimist, more a realist and I firmly believe we will go up, but it must be one game at a time, keep the gap between us and third as wide as possible, then all of the pressure is on the teams below to catch up.
Guest ttfn Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I've got a feeling we're going to absolutely smash these and Blackpool on Saturday. 8+ goals in 4 days. So 2-0 Barnsley today and 1-0 Blackpool on Saturday...
Lobsterboyuk Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 The table doesn't lie. If we perform anywhere near our potential then it's 3 points coming our way, excepting football is not always respectful of this logic...
Fox92 Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Are you joking? These are fvcking shite, if we play average we should beat them. If we play well we should smash them. I'm expecting a win. We're a totally different class. They are also four/five games unbeaten at home. I'd expect us to win as well, but I don't think it will be somekind of walkover.
Socks Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I wish people would stop saying we are going to batter them.... Forest did the same before their game and look what happened there! (they then blamed their injuries) Barnsley will be more than up for it tonight, will be tough and I'm not going to predict.

Very true Fox92 defo not going to be a walkoverWill be a predictably tough away game in the championship. Just hope we can nick it 2-1 (Chris OGrady enevitably scoring their goal)
Trumpet Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 3-1 Vardy Brace and Mahrez. Looking forward to this one as it could be my last game for a while.
MC Prussian Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 My advice to the team: Go out there and make amends for that terrible display at Oakwell a year ago. Of course, I fancy us to win it. But we all know how we fare against teams at the bottom of the table. On paper, 1st vs. 23rd is a clear affair - not so much in the Championship. Be aware, care and dare.
bovril Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Urgh Barnsley. I hate the place. It'll be a tough game, they will come out to try and shut us down using every trick in the book. I'll go for a battling 2-1 for City.
kingfox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Night games throughout all leagues offer up weird results. I would not be surprised if we somehow lose this game. Went Barnsley a couple season's ago when we drew, they just told you to sit anywhere you wanted, shit ground, but it was one of the more enjoyable away games I've been to.
fuchsntf Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I am preparing my injury excuses....Dyer,St Ledger, konch, moore, uncle tom cobbly. When we win I can say......even without a full team. City will win today and against the seasiders, on Saturday and to prove we actually do have 'a Bee in the bonnet' 3 'B's to be taken Blackburn the following week. Y front drink up your cider country yokels follow. Then the queen B of them all, where the honeypot of promotion is awaiting us....Burnley. Its there to touch, 5 disciplined performances, no losses and we can get our football manager games out for the PL opposition. Unless........................

Bluetintedspecs Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 If we play anywhere near our best, we should do a professional job tonight! I think the twitchiness, from some, is down to wanting it so much, which is understandable! My forecast is a third 3-0 win in a row. COYB
Kitchandro Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 As easy as it was beating Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday I suspect. Easier I should think. I wouldn't have taken a draw beforehand in either of those games.
-blue- Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I'm clock watching now....gonna find a bookies on the way over to Barnsley. 1-3 @13 to 1
Vossen Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 They are fighting for survival & will give us a hard game tonight...
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 They are fighting for survival & will give us a hard game tonight...Will be a very tough game for sure
Babylon Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Must win game this if you ask me. Lose and Burnley beat Birmingham tomorrow the gap is down to 2points Considering our game in hand is away to Wigan next month I'd not be surprised to see us down to second by the time we play them Must win game? Really?
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Must win game? Really? Another 'must-win game' eh.. According to some of our fans, they've ALL been 'must-win'..

Realistically Burnley will have to beat us to finish above us. We're miles ahead of 3rd anyway. Things are going good, I respect Burnley but I think we're better than them. Just about to leave, hoping for a good atmosphere.
absolutelegend Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 1-2 win. super kev woth an injury time winner.

Orange seat Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Expecting a real hard fought battle tonight, as you would expect from a side in relegation trouble, but hopefully our class will shine through in a 2-1 win, Nugent and a late winner from Woody.
