Corky Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Do you think that played a part in our 02/03 figures as well then? Brighton have the highest home attendance in the league don't they? They did last season. We'd just had six years of Premier League football at a smaller ground where the demand was great, plus it was an expected promotion push which would've brought Premier League football for the second season in the ground. Will Brighton sustain their level of crowds if they spend another 4/5 years at this level?
Fox92 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 You're right Corky and I agree. Not sure about Brighton, there must be a lot of positive energy around that place at the minute because what they've achieved in a short space of time - promoted from League One, new ground, and now a couple of decent seasons at this level. Suppose it depends if they stay as a solid Championship side.
David Lowe Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Blackpool wont bring many but surely should be able to get 27,000 the way we are playing.
brisfox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Just looked on the website. Heading towards a sell out in home sections. family stand sold out, only single tickets available in some parts of the ground
foxaholic Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 We average more than forest ,and brighton and the sheep have cheaper tickets than us. Leeds has a population double the size of Leicester plus a big national fan base You are wrong Brighton average vapparantely more than 3000 more is their population double
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 You are wrong Brighton average vapparantely more than 3000 more is their population doubleBrighton (see above) have NSS and cheaper tickets that's all
Illusion35 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I bought tickets yesterday (didn't think I could go as am broke but managed to borrow the money, just have to be there !) and a lot of areas of the ground were single tickets only - couldn't get in K block which is where I usually go. So pretty busy I think, 28k or more?
Zapp Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 As its the last Saturday 3pm in the championship for a while, id like to think we'll get a decent turnout.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I think they'll park the bus. 2-1 They'll bring 740 A disappointing 27346 will turn up
bluesbrothers Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Don't forget the obligatory "where were you when we were sh*t" song once we get over the line and the inevitable fair-weather fans we last saw at the L1 title game come crawling out of the woodwork to grace us with their "passionate" support in the Prem. Edit: Still, a few sell-outs might get the main stand extension back on the cards so that the KP has something to set it apart from the rest of the identikit modern stadia these days. Will look mighty silly when crowds start to fall again though.
David Lowe Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I think they'll park the bus. 2-1 They'll bring 740 A disappointing 27346 will turn up The latest is that they have sold 200.
Langston Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 We average more than forest ,and brighton and the sheep have cheaper tickets than us. Leeds has a population double the size of Leicester plus a big national fan base Quite right. On a pro rata basis Leeds should be averaging nearly 70k every week. We underestimate just how well we actually manage to do given how bloody pricey we are.
