Banks Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 What's everyone thinking? I'll say 25k, and a comfortable 4-0 win.
lcfc278 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 i was surprised in the drop in attendance from Ipswich (28K) to Charlton (24K) but as its our last 3pm Saturday game i reckon we'll hit around 26/27K for blackpool. Nice little 2-0 win
Monsell1976 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 We are flying, I would be disappointed will any less than 28000 for the remaining home games, no matter what day of the week, or on sky
lcfc278 Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 We are flying, I would be disappointed will any less than 28000 for the remaining home games, no matter what day of the week, or on sky I thought the same after we smashed Ipswich, then against Charlton it dropped by 4K but i wouldnt be surprised if we topped 28K again. I sat in SK1 for both games and the atmosphere was brilliant - despite their being a few more empty seats.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 24-25000 ish I would guess although I would hope its a bigger attendance, depends on pricing really
foxaholic Posted 12 March 2014 Posted 12 March 2014 Only disappointing thing this season has been crowds. Under Micky Adams in a similar season in fact we finished second we averaged nearly 30000. I could be wrong but I think Brighton Forest Derby and possiblly Leeds average more and Burnley have almost a third of their population watching .

I agree but we still average higher than quite a few premier league teams which is great. I think this might be down to ticket prices and also a lot of the away support this season has been quite poor too.

We average more than forest ,and brighton and the sheep have cheaper tickets than us. Leeds has a population double the size of Leicester plus a big national fan base

foxaholic Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I am sure we average less than Brighton perhaps somebody could give the figures
AndWhat? Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I am sure we average less than Brighton perhaps somebody could give the figures Fine example of NSS New Stadium Syndrome
DennisNedry Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 About 26k The reason attendances are still fairly low compared to 2002/03 is the prices.
Fox92 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Fine example of NSS New Stadium Syndrome Do you think that played a part in our 02/03 figures as well then? I am sure we average less than Brighton perhaps somebody could give the figures Brighton have the highest home attendance in the league don't they? They did last season.
Fox92 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 PS (let me edit a minute). Figures are here Club High High Opponent Low Low Opponent Average Brighton 28282 Bournemouth(2014-01-01) 25725 Sheffield Wed(2013-10-01) 27092 Leeds United 33432 Brighton(2013-08-03) 19915 Reading(2014-03-11) 25843 Derby County 27306 Bournemouth(2014-02-22) 21037 Ipswich Town(2013-10-01) 24347 Leicester City 30416 Nottm Forest(2013-11-09) 19153 Blackburn(2013-09-17) 23725 Nottm Forest 28276 Derby County(2013-09-28) 18510 Watford(2014-01-30) 23020 http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/DivisionalAttendance/0,,10794~20137,00.html
AndWhat? Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 About 26k The reason attendances are still fairly low compared to 2002/03 is the prices. I was thinking this the other day and it just didn't add up. Minimum wage in 2003/4 was £4.50 and now it's £6.31. That's an increase of 29%? I doubt ticket prices have been raised higher than 29% In the last 10 years. Would mean they would have to have been below 20 quid to have gone up higher than the minimum wage increase in the last 10 years. Do you think that played a part in our 02/03 figures as well Hell yeah
