lavrentis Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Are we on the pitch at Donny at home or when promotion is secured?
lavrentis Posted 14 March 2014 Author Posted 14 March 2014 That surely depends on how and when we go up? Just wanted to see the general consensus of it, like I said in the title "if".
broughtonblue Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Why would you want to run on the pitch, only to get shoed off again 5 mins later? Surely the players deserve a lap of honour this year?
Kitchandro Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Why would you want to run on the pitch, only to get shoed off again 5 mins later? Surely the players deserve a lap of honour this year? Don't they get a lap of honour every week? Surely it's the fans who deserve their moment for once? We've been starved of a joyous moment for so long so I think we should be able to celebrate it how we see fit.
GSOOT Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 *dingdongding* This is a message from the manager and his players at the end of the game please remain in your seats for the team to do a well deserved lap of honour with the championship trophy. However this will be cancelled should you enter the pitch Thank you.
LanguedocFox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I suspect there will be announcements warning against it, before the match, at half-time, and during any stoppages towards the end of the match. Then as soon as they announce the amount of time added on after 90 minutes - of even before - the stewards and police will be lined up three deep, facing the crowd. Anyone who even hints at a pitch invasion will be clobbered, really hard. Just the way things are.

Bayfox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 No. We should be on the pitch in the game that confirms promotion not the last game which will be stage managed by the club. It's meant to be spontaneous. Yes I'm banking on us being up well before then.
tomlester93 Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Surely we're on the pitch at full-time in the match when promotion is ensured, and then trophy presentation/lap of honour vs. Doncaster?
Ashley Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 On the pitch at full time then off again for them to bring the trophy out OR we pitch invade someone else ground as and when we get promotion? Reading on the Monday night or is that too soon?
nativefox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 We are the only club I know or have seen that don't invade (go onto) the pitch.
lavrentis Posted 14 March 2014 Author Posted 14 March 2014 We are the only club I know or have seen that don't invade (go onto) the pitch. No idea why this is, I really hope we do go on the pitch
deejdeej Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Honestly couldn't care less about a pitch invasion or not. Most pitch invasions look full of chavvy teenagers running on and then looking clueless what to do next. I'll be doing my celebrating in the bars of Leicester that night!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think we should all go on the pitch but drop our trousers and pants first
ealingfox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Well we were promoted away from home in League One so no potential for it there. Can't remember 02/03, when did we seal it back then?

Mark_w Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think we should all go on the pitch but drop our trousers and pants first Why wait for promotion?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Why wait for promotion? Don't want to look like a weirdo
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 The trouble with pitch invasions is that you're bound to get some stupid teenagers acting like total t*ats
Number 6 Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think it'd be a nice moment but not having one will not lessen the enjoyment of promotion. The club and stewards need to slacken the rules and allow it to happen too. We'll be hearing "don't go in the pitch" over the tannoy all game. Hull had a pitch invasion the other week and stewards were taking photos for fans. We've been through so much shit over the years, let's celebrate the moment properly.
ealingfox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Honestly, I can't see any messages about not parading the trophy etc being more than empty threats. Even 1 in 5 people trying to get on in a full house will be far too much for stewards and a few coppers.
