Mark Oakley Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Qpr can still get 96 points!!! , Wigan can get 94 , derby 93 !!! We need 16 more points to equal qpr's theoretical total and 17 to better it!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk End of!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Babylon Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Quite correct. Pointless discussion The OP did ask when it would be mathematically possible... all the quess work is missing his question.
Vicki Vixen Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Quite correct. Pointless discussion its super impossible and pointless to predict it until it's about to happen, as us and anyone around us will gain/loose points over the next 10 games. Given it could happen a week on Saturday, I don't see how this is a pointless discussion.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Given it could happen a week on Saturday, I don't see how this is a pointless discussion. Because the amount of variables that are and are not in our hands make it impossible to accurate make any kind of prediction of when we will be mathematically promoted, as you say at the moment it could be a week on Saturday, it could be on May 3rd, it could be any of the 7 games in between the two of them. Until it get's a little closer it's a silly discussion.
Mark Oakley Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 It's not a silly discussion , it's a brilliant one , we are on the verge of the premiership and working out permutations in our position is a joy to behold , we all know we're going to do it buy it's great to try and work out when!!! COYB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think Manwell means..all of your guesses could be correct..all of them could be wrong. We don't know what results there will be..so it's impossible(?) to say what game it will be. It's all "ifs" at the moment. Theoretically we could already be promoted..but there is also a chance we don't get promoted. I know we're excited about what could be..but until we're closer to the points we need..it's anybodies guess. So nobody can answer the OP. Although I find the form spreadsheets interesting..they are a well informed guess and not a crystal ball. Managed to post this without using the cliché.."twists and turns". Damn.

COYB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk As some sort of shit guessing game, I guess I can see why it might amuse some. However the OP was trying to ascertain when it was going to happen, at the moment the answer is barring our next two games, at any given point in the next 9 games depending on what us and the other teams do, so it's a pointless question.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 I've just bought tickets for the QPR game because that's probably the next game I can go to because of work but I genuinely hope we can get promoted before that
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Let's just enjoy it game by game and Que Sera Sera.

COYB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm on your side, Mark. After so many seasons counting how many points we need to be safe and feeling sick every time we drew or lost, it's fantastic to be able to work out all these permutations. I just hope (as I've said elsewhere) that both promotion and Champions (if they happen) come in one of the four televised games from 29 March onwards. I'm hoping for promotion v Sheff Weds (I think Burnley is a bit too soon) and Champions against Reading.
Snooty Fox Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 5pm on the Sat we play at Burnley (by which time we'll probably all be back in Leicester town centre boozing) is the earliest we can mathematically get promoted. Mods please close the thread.

Of course time will tell, of course one can wait until the ifs n whens become definite, but then, that would make the season boring, its the ifs n buts that make a football season what it is.What I now find interesting is how many city supporters look at Wigan and believe they cant make a winning run. Why shouldnt they...city have, and many hope we can win all. looking at the fixtures, Wigan could pull off the impossible.
Webbo Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 It's also pointless discussing the merits of certain players or tactics as we don't pick the team. It's a bit of fun and not hurting anyone so why get so snooty about it?

fuchsntf Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Wigan can get a maximum of 94 points, both us and Burnley should beat that. For speculations sake...Burnley drop points and get nervous, City dont get nervous, but drop points. Burnley v city, Burnley v Wigan, Reading v Burnley then 2 draws. City have 5 games, where it could go wrong, but still have points on the board. But Neither Wigan or QPR will give up, and they are stronger than forest and the rams. Look it this way if you were a supporter of either club, or city in the same position You would also be saying....Why not, why not indeed... .! !!

But it won't be Wigan going on a winning run it'll be us going on a losing run. It's not impossible but it's not very likely either,

I agree someone quoted Qpr can get 96, wigan can get 94..well they both cant reach those points tally, as they are playing each other Personally i reckon shef weds at home it will be confirmed, when we have 90 points (WWLDW) We are going up, NO DOUBT IN MY MIND, LETS ****ING ENJOY IT!!!! COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS, WE ****ING LOVE YOU!!!!
fuchsntf Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 But it won't be Wigan going on a winning run it'll be us going on a losing run. It's not impossible but it's not very likely either, I wasnt actually thinking about us, but more about that 2nd position. I would love Wigan and QPR to go on an unbeaten run, but still want and believe Burnley and the City will finish impressively So long its possible I would like to see Burnley and City top 100 pts. So far 103/113 respectively.
Jon25747 Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 Statistically the earliest it could be is in 3 games time. So don't worry about it until then!
Zapp Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 If we win all our games in march. And derby, QPR & Wigan only get 1 point each before April. Promotion.
