lancyclaret Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Wigan will have 9 wins on the bounce after they play Yeovil tonight.
kingcarr21 Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Wigan will have 9 wins on the bounce after they play Yeovil tonight. dont write yeovil off getting a result. They know a win gets them out the drop zone and are fighting for their lives. Lets hope wigan get complacent and underestimate them.
Alexikokopops Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Quite correct. Pointless discussion If we stopped having pointless discussions on Foxestalk I doubt there would be anything to read.
Monk Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 If you think Burnley, then you think that we will gain another 5 points lead over Derby and QPR in 3 games? I don't see it myself. I'll stick with the Sheff Weds game - all we have to do between now and then is extend the gap by 2 points - in 4 games. Sounds much more realistic.
LanguedocFox Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 If we stopped having pointless discussions on Foxestalk I doubt there would be anything to read. This.
LanguedocFox Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Kind of related this this topic, but this weekend has thrown up some really interesting fixtures, apart from us at Blackburn. If Derby beat Florist and Reading and Brighton both win (all eminently possible results), Florist will be in eighth place - and Brighton will have a game in hand on them.
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 At the moment mathmatically we need 94 points to win promotion. The maximum points for the following teams are :- QPR 93 Derby 93 Wigan 92 Brighton 88 Forest 87 Reading 86 Blackburn 82 Watford 81 Ipswich 81
ScouseFox Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 so 5 more wins. so yeovil, blackburn, burnley, wigan & sheff wed. that's assuming everyone else wins.
Webbo Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Wigan will have 9 wins on the bounce after they play Yeovil tonight. You reckon?
Webbo Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 I seriously think we will be promoted at either Wigan or against Sheff Weds.
steveherbe Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Wigan will have 9 wins on the bounce after they play Yeovil tonight. Haha, mystic meg, welcome back
Mark_w Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 So if we win our next five games we're up (and on my Birthday) right?

Simonb Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Charlton to take points off burnley think that's this Saturday
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 If we can take 7 from 10 in our next three fixtures I think we'll have the chance to secure promotion with a win at Wigan....
Simonb Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 7 from 9? Surely I reckon will be the happiest team after tonight.. cudnt see third catching us but the gap from second to third is massive now also

smudger63 Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 ok, so an unlikely set of results to all come together for us i know, but if for arguments sake Derby draw on saturday at home to forest, then lose to Ipswich away on the tuesday, they will only be able to get 88 pts If QPR lose away at Middlesbrough on saturday and draw at home to Wigan next tuesday, then they will only be able to get 88 pts If Wigan draw at home to Watford on saturday, and draw away at QPR on the tuesday, they will only be able to get 88 points, meaning that if we can beat Blackburn and Yeovil, we will go into the Burnley game knowing a win will see us promoted! At the end of the day though, it`s just a case of us focusing on what we do, and the rest will surely take care of itself. * Edited to point out that Brighton can currently get 89 points, so they would have to drop points at home to ipswich on saturday or away at sheff wednesday next tuesday for the Burnley scenario to have a chance of happening. Realistically too many things have got to fall in place for it to happen at Burnley, but i dont think we are going to have to wait for long, as long as we keep performing!
Fox92 Posted 18 March 2014 Posted 18 March 2014 Just getting me more excited. Argh, happy days! Another set of unlikely results happened again; anything can happen in football. I wouldn't put it past Charlton to take something from Burnley on Saturday.
