Will the big teams enjoy coming to the King Power next season?

Or....looking at it from another point of view....will our players find it less intimidating and not be in awe of the facilities and large stadiums which exist in the premier league having played all their home matches in a ground which has facilities which are more modern than the majority of the Premier League?

Nigel won't spend that unless some serious quality is available.

One thing I like about the guy is you know we won't be doing a Fulham, Cardiff or Norwich and spunking 6-10 million on garbage strikers like Hooper, Corneilus or Mitroglou etc. His spending policy will be the same.as it's always been.

The last big money striker Steve Walsh recommened to a manager was Didier Drogba to Chelsea.

Bit harsh to label Mitroglu garbage before he's barely kicked a ball, though I agree with the sentiment of your post. If we are in a poor position come January (fingers crossed we aren't) at least we know Nige will strengthen wisely and prudently and not "pull an 'Arry" who gets more excited than a dog with two dicks in the winter window.

Nice big pitch, no intimidating atmosphere, perfect facilities. Or does it not make a difference? Will be interesting if Burnley get promoted aswell who will have the better home record.

Please tell me this isn't now considered a plus point! Bizarre.

4 actually

• Andy King

• Richard "Bonesy" III

• King Power

• Recently opened Burger King at Clock Tower.

All brilliant.

This had all the makings of top banter...........

But you missed 'the kings' pub.

If we all turn up naked maybe it would put the opposition off?

As well as our players... No, not turned off.

Pah...

It wont be about the stadium! It'll be about the team.. people won't enjoy coming here if we are playing well. If not, they'll see their day out to the KP as a walk in the park.

How many established premier league clubs don't have nice facilities etc? If we can turn the KP into a bit of a fortress like we have this season then we'll be alright.

Soulless bowl stadium playing a Soulless Midland yoyo team nobody cares about and has achieved very little in it's 215+ year history is how most Premier League opposition fans will view us I should imagine. And our hot dogs are rank.

I couldn't really give two shits what they think though.

What?!!!

Can anyone confirm it's really year 2099? I'm little bit worried for my sanity...

.... transfer budget of between 50m & 150m according to some.

Might be as well to remember that whatever the 'budget' for new players is, it will include the new players wages and probably increments on some existing players' wages.

I reckon a reasonable expectation would be based on 2:1 at best - ie for every £2m on players at least £1m on wages taken over a two year duration.

In other words a £10m player would cost £5m ish in wages over two years.

£30 million available would then equate to £20m in transfer fees.

We should not get carried away with rumours of potential spend available.

+ We're nicely situated

+ Should be relatively cheap compared to most of the league

+ I reckon a lot of people will expect us to go straight back down so fans doing the 92 will definitely want to visit whilst they have the chance.

Why would someone doing the 92 'visit while they have the chance'? Relegation would not mean being kicked out of league football would it?

I don't think we're particularly great nor bad. I guess some fans might appreciate our facilities more so than others. If away fans have been to Southampton recently then it will be the same experience just in blue.

I don't think the KP will intimidate players but if we get amongst any team, get the first goal and we make a good atmosphere I can't see too many big players fancying it.

I also don't get that point - someone doing the 92 is already prepared to make trips to lower-tier grounds (in fact, that's kind of the point), so I don't see why it makes a difference to them which League we're in.  If anything they should prioritise seeing us this season while it's still a visit to the best team in the second tier.

Like the Emirates?People will be different  as we will be underdogs in most of the games and they will be like cupties against supposedly superior opposition
