Hi guys, I was just starting this thread out of curiosity really, does anyone know how long our sponsorship deal is with shirt sponsors King Power, and also, if the sponsorship was to change for example next season, would our ground still be called The King Power Stadium?

We are extremly blessed with our fantastic owners in all fairness. Very lucky.

Well as its the owner's business, and the main reason they bought us is to advertise their business globally, I'd say that any sponsorship deal will remain and keep being renewed for as long as they own the club.

100% we'll still be playing at 'The King Power Stadium' next season. They wouldn't change to a different stadium sponsor as soon as we get into a position where they would have seen their advertising have such massive exposure.

It's not a well known brand either here or much outside it's own circle.

I would imagine raising public awareness is a big part of their ownership of the club so I doubt they'd drop all the sponsorship as soon as we actually make it big.

If we were ever to be pushing champions league football (not that I'm suggesting that's likely) then maybe they'd see it as more profitable to sell shirt sponsorship to some huge multinational but otherwise it's probably here to stay.

It looks okay, in my opinion, we could have much worse plastered everywhere.

Hello Blackburn.

It begs the question though, that with King Power being owned by the owners.

Would there be as much paid in sponsorship or would we get more from more recognised Uk brands?

We're probably getting a bit more than the market value since the owners have a vested interest in us not failing FFP.

Worldwide Premiership exposure is what they came for.

Free worldwide advertisment (Well it's not, they've spent alot of money but should we say 'easy' advertisment? :dunno:)

I've always had the thoughts that if/when we reached the Premiership they'd perhaps look at moving their duty free business into EMA/English/European airports, it remains to be seen but wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Expect alot more King Power branding next year and fair play to them.

The days of having a stadium name with meaning are slowly disappearing. It's a changing time.

So, if we are going to have a stadium named after a brand id rather it be this way where the club gets a lot out of it.

agree completely, its a shame that grounds are named after brands, apart from Derby, in which its hilarious.

All the above are correct but in answer to your final question if the sponsorship changed so would the name of the stadium. Sometime in your lifetime the stadium will have another name or two.

Considering they bought the club to build their brands name I find it hard to believe they would go and change all the sponsorship rights once we finally get into the Premiership wouldn't really make much sense.
