jimmeh Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Probably a stupid question! But maybe the likes of Hull away could do?
Banks Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Possibly the games like Hull and Norwich will make general sale, can't see many others though.
jimmeh Posted 7 April 2014 Author Posted 7 April 2014 Have seen half full away ends at the Emirates thought in the past. Albeit with smaller clubs but if they are charging £60 for a ticket then it May not sell out.
AndWhat? Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Norwich on a Tuesday night. Southampton 12:15 KO. Swansea on Boxing Day.
jimmeh Posted 7 April 2014 Author Posted 7 April 2014 Ah well. Will be a stream available for every game !
Russell sprout Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Ild rather pay to watch us for say £30 at Southampton on a wet Tuesday night than at arsenal where it's £60 on a Saturday in a game weld expect nothing from, though ild expect every away game to sell out until the novelty wears off, usually the first couple of seasons.
Leicester1884Filbert Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 If the prices are ok then probably not, about the Arsenal prices, we will be charged around £35 for a adult ticket, it all goes on if its a gold / silver fixture ect, for example home and away prices must be the same, so for liverpool they charge both sets of supporters say £70, West Ham next week is a silver i think, they are being charged £35. so expect the same for us.
Fox92 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Have seen half full away ends at the Emirates thought in the past. Albeit with smaller clubs but if they are charging £60 for a ticket then it May not sell out. It won't be £60. I'd imagine the majority of games will sell out. I think all of us are excited for the same away's - Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal, Tottenham, Villa etc.

jimmeh Posted 7 April 2014 Author Posted 7 April 2014 There was definitely a small club either this season or last season where they were being charged £60 for arsenal away. Can't remember who it was. But it was empty
FrankieADZ Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Im sure a few might, but I suspect most will see out by the STH Prio. 3/members bit.
Bayfox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 It depends on: 1 how much we are being charged by the top sides. 2 how many stuffings we get by the top sides. If we are being charged £45 upwards by any teams and then getting thumped away from home then come about Jan I would expect the support base to dwindle.
RowlattsFox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Going to get a membership if they release them early enough and hope for the best.
blue army 1988 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I think they will. Tickets are just missing out on general sale now. With bigger grounds come bigger allocations so more tickets.
taffyfox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 On new years day I travelled to Millwall with my mate who is a cardiff fan. He was off to the Emirates. His ticket was £25!!! £2 cheaper than mine to go to the New Den!! The Premier League give each club a certain amount of cash each year to subsidise costs. Clubs can spend that how they want( pay some of the ticket price or provide cheaper travel). Cardiff put on free travel to Norwich as well. Be interesting to see how we benefit........
CPW22 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Your best shout is to get a membership. I think more games will go to general sale than we think but you'll struggle to get tickets where you want them or in groups bigger than two.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Arsenal away will be a bun fight for tickets. They tend to be on a par with Championship prices for matches against lower profile Premier League sides and a London away day always appeals. Swansea is a hell of a trek and nothing special as an away day, so expect that to easily make General Sale unless there's a lot riding on it. Hull will sell out cos it's an easy away day, unless it's mid-week or on Sky, but Norwich might not sell well. Southampton won't sell particularly well, miles away and is basically our stadium with red seats.
Vicki Vixen Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Don't understand why people take the moral high ground when it comes to ticket prices yet they are prepared to pay whatever it takes in petrol or train fares to get around the country. Personally I would rather put my money into football than into the oil companies or train operators.
Leicesterpool Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 mainly midweek games and clubs that charge over £50 ticket!

Spudulike Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Should be ok for Burnley and Bournemouth home tickets. Sorry, just realised the topic is about away tickets.
SemperEadem Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I think they will. Tickets are just missing out on general sale now. With bigger grounds come bigger allocations so more tickets. Doesn't work like this. The current grounds in the top flight all have relatively small away ends. Don't think there is one over 2800.
promised land Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Norwich on a Tuesday night. Southampton 12:15 KO. Swansea on Boxing Day. Norwich on a Tuesday night? We are moving out of the Championship. Also in the Premier league you don't have that many Tuesday night games.
