dayday Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Now we are promoted,if demand for season tickets is really high,do you think the owners will put a temporary stand in?
blueonyou Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 No, because if we're back down next season it'll be a huge eyesore and cost. There wont be any stand modifications unless we stay in the PL and consistently sell out for at least 2/3 years
Fox92 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 We need to be a consistent side in the PL before anything happens imo, it's been said before we can expand when/if required.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 What, in that massive gap we've got between stands at the moment?
Babylon Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 What, in that massive gap we've got between stands at the moment? Perhaps we could put a stand in front of one already there and make the ones behind it "limited view".
Tielemans63 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 What, in that massive gap we've got between stands at the moment? Exactly what I was going to post!
FrankieADZ Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 temporary stand.....what lob one on top of the family stand or something....as said in the thread already, there isnt any room to add one, and I highly doubt we'll increase the ground any time soon. so No.
Raw Dykes Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I don't think we could have one. The corners are filled in and the seats go right the way round the stadium. Where would you put it without blocking a large section of the crowd's view? Defeats the whole point. On the roof? Edit: dangit. Too slow!
Babylon Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Just had a tour of the ground... the build is already complete.
dayday Posted 7 April 2014 Author Posted 7 April 2014 I understand being a established prem side will help, but say income coming in from the new stand outweighs the cost of building the temporary stand ,then its a good idea ,if we get relegated then just take it down.

Doesn't work like that, I think the ROI on any kind of worthwhile stand upgrade will be atleast 2 years.

The question remains... where do you expect a stand to be built?
blueonyou Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 The question remains... where do you expect a stand to be built? This is irrelevant as the stadium was built with future capacity increase in mind was it not? THey'll lob a roof section off and build a second tier.
Houdini Logic Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I'm not sure why people are ridiculing this idea - this was always an option for our ground and has been discussed many times
fox123 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Stick it in front of our goal then move it to the other side at half time. That'll stop Suarez and Aguero.
Babylon Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 This is irrelevant as the stadium was built with future capacity increase in mind was it not? THey'll lob a roof section off and build a second tier. Well it really isn't irrelevant as he said a "temporary stand", the stadium increase via the option we have is for a permanent extension. Unless of course you think it's possible/viable to take the roof off build a great big extension at large cost. Then, take it all down again and put the roof back on when / if we get relegated.

Babylon Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I'm not sure why people are ridiculing this idea - this was always an option for our ground and has been discussed many times Because it's not a temporary option!!!

The OP was suggesting a temporary stand which is what has left many of us scratching our heads, also the fact that we have only just become promoted, let alone a side who looks like we have a definite future in the top flight.
dayday Posted 7 April 2014 Author Posted 7 April 2014 The question remains... where do you expect a stand to be built? If my memory is right, when we built the ground we could expand the East Stand if needed
FrankieADZ Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Because it's not a temporary option!!! maybe we needed to build the ground out of LEGO next time
lestajigs Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Just had a tour of the ground... the build is already complete. foxes-purchase-king-power-stadium-Image.jpg lol
FrankieADZ Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 If my memory is right, when we built the ground we could expand the East Stand if needed yeah but that would be a permanent build not temporary, and doing that would mean a good chuck of lost income too.
