Babylon Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 If my memory is right, when we built the ground we could expand the East Stand if needed Yes we can... which concrete and lots of expense. Not with a Meccano set that can be wipped down at a moments notice.
MPH Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 What would be the point of a temporary stand? As everyone knows, the ground was built with a possible expansion in the plans. Eventually, once established in the prem the east stand will have an extra tier built on to it.
Bayfox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Best option for expansion, would be to dig down and lower the pitch level and build seats on that horrid strip of concrete and tarmac.
dayday Posted 7 April 2014 Author Posted 7 April 2014 yeah but that would be a permanent build not temporary, and doing that would mean a good chuck of lost income too. ok cheers,as you can see i know nothing about construction
blueonyou Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 ok cheers,as you can see i know nothing about construction Or finance?
Jace Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 This has got to be the funniest thread I have ever seen.
Jace Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Just ordered it up guys, now what shall we swap it around with the Kop or the away end?
Mark Oakley Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Perhaps we could all budge up and have 2 on a seat? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Do people really think we'll sell out regularly?
Dan Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I've got an idea, don't know if anyone's thought of it before. Safe standing.
FrankieADZ Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I've got an idea, don't know if anyone's thought of it before. Safe standing. no, I dont trust you lot standing..... might get up to no good.
Babylon Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 I've got an idea, don't know if anyone's thought of it before. Safe standing. What about temporary standing?
Solihullfox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 What about temporary standing? We can all sing...."We're standing up, we're sitting down", etc etc etc. Talk about confusing the stewards "Can you sit down please sir ?...oh you have thanks, no can you sit down please...oh right, thanks.....no, can you please sit down again...
Houdini Logic Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Because it's not a temporary option!!! Yes as a permanent development of our stadium, when we have become an established premier league team. The OP was suggesting a temporary stand which is what has left many of us scratching our heads, also the fact that we have only just become promoted, let alone a side who looks like we have a definite future in the top flight. Ha, how I missed that...
Jace Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 If my memory is right, when we built the ground we could expand the East Stand if needed My predictions for next season, we will win the League Cup again and stick a temporary stand on top of the roof of the existing East Stand
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 pop some seats on the roof? With rope ladders hanging over the back of the existing stands up to them!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Perhaps we could have a glass pitch and put a few seats underneath . . . .
SomalianFox15 Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Not until we've established our selves in the prem, even then there's the question of where it would go??
fazzyfox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Ripping the tops off our existing stands would be a ruthless action to take.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Ha, how I missed that... You mean the title of the thread I'll let you off it's Monday, and we've all had a big weekend
Strokes Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Build a stand at belvoir drive and do a beamback. Come on, beambacks were excellent in the 90s.
