themotivator Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 fans leaving definitely galvanised the rest of the stadium. kop looked really good from where i was sitting. usually sit in sk1/sk2 so was really jealous of that. we still had our bit of fun though trying really hard to celebrate promotion.
Jakemoore Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Agree. This is a message to all fair-weather supporters: In the name of the club, big thanks for spending your hard earned money and now... Time to go! (x8) F&<k off! Define fair weather fans for me?
Monsell1976 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Agree. This is a message to all fair-weather supporters: In the name of the club, big thanks for spending your hard earned money and now... Time to go! (x8) F&<k off! All to their own, they pay there money, so leave when they want. Not something I would do, but all can do what they want, yes it did light the atmosphere, but don't like to see leicester fans turn on each other, embarrassing really.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 The Kop was fantastic for the last 10 minutes and that's coming from someone over in L1. That's how it should have been for the whole night and it was definitely down to all of the glory boys clearing off.
Simonb Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Was disgusted people left with 20 mins to go three days after sealing promotion. .. all missed the celebrations for gtf goal
Kitchandro Posted 8 April 2014 Author Posted 8 April 2014 All to their own, they pay there money, so leave when they want. Not something I would do, but all can do what they want, yes it did light the atmosphere, but don't like to see leicester fans turn on each other, embarrassing really. They weren't turining on Leicester fans, they were turning on the significant number of people who turned up to see a successful team that plays in the City they live in. Not the same thing at all. Besides, if it spurs us on to make that much noise, I'm all for it.
ScouseFox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 but still nobody is answering why it wasn't like the last 10 for the whole 90? because there were plastics dotted around were you massive vocal fans suddenly to scared to sing? were you all just staring open mouthed in awe at these new plastics who hadn't been there all year? or were you sat/stood in silence just like them?
Kitchandro Posted 8 April 2014 Author Posted 8 April 2014 why did it take 80 minutes and the "plastics" leaving for all the hard core ultra heroic fans to start singing? but still nobody is answering why it wasn't like the last 10 for the whole 90? because there were plastics dotted around were you massive vocal fans suddenly to scared to sing? were you all just staring open mouthed in awe at these new plastics who hadn't been there all year? or were you sat/stood in silence just like them? It's like I've been saying for ages. If these people were that full of that arrogance all match every match we'd have a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, we're a fanbase who think we're not a very good fanbase.
stevelcfc Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Never been so angry in my life, as I was at the tossers behind me tonight. The performance on the pitch was poor but I can accept that after promotion and 22 unbeaten. What I can't accept is the bunch of bald, middle ages toss pots who come to the game to sit there talking about George Osbourne, having their half time lucky twix, forcing me and the lad next to me (and others) to sit down (top of J3 near K) then they stand for all of HT and somehow muster up enough energy to stand for the last 10 after they had a board meeting about whether to stand or not. That is glossing over the fact i had his knee in my side all game, his incessant kicking of my chair, elbowing me round the head and chucking that dolphin at me. Oh, and if your enough of a fan to be on here, support 'YOUR' ****ing team, comments like 'lets hope they get six' and 'I reckon they are deliberately playing shit, to get some money out of Top' and after 30 mins 'I'm not sure i can endure many more games like this' will just make me want to punch you and rant about you on FT. Sorry, rant over.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Why thank you â˜ºï¸ me and my old man started that one! Nearly got a Mexican wave going but the boring East stand didn't want to join in! It's not like we were being battered or anything I was in the right side today (always prefer the right side )

Sorry, rant over. OMG I hate this. What is that all about? People insist on sitting even when something exciting is going on (I got told off for standing up for a penalty earlier this season) then all feel the need to stand up in the stands at half time. Why?
Jakemoore Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I was in the right side today (always prefer the right side )Me to!! The right side definitely dominated that tonight!
Jakemoore Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Left side start the wave ...I actually thought that would work it nearly did to be fair but it died a death as soon as the east stand got involved! I miss the Mexican wave, it used to be a regular at the walkers (now KP)
casablancas Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Tbh it was just great banter. And I think the separation between the two lots works to the benefit of all. Little bit of competition gets everyone going. Almost as much as 200 odd people leaving slightly early
lee7 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 All the miserable b*stards who left when the 4th went in, I'm glad they did because it sparked a reaction from all of the fans that stayed in the kop! Disgraceful to see so many fans leaving! They deserved the abuse they recieved! Some had the cheek to give the fans who stayed the willy puller sign as they walked out!! It was a quality atmosphere those last 15 minutes and should be like that every week. Credit to all the lads in SK1 for constantly singing throughout. Exactly what's needed in the kop if the atmosphere Is ever going to improve. Shame about the lads performances as it definitely did not live up to the occasion! Disappointing from the whole team.
Maybes Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Blimey. Apart from the last 10 minutes tonight was a joke. The South Stand was awful as it has been for years. I still hope it will come to life in the Prem, but I very much doubt it.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Two blokes next to me spent the whole first half moaning about the ground being full with part-timers, didn't sing a single song, moaned at every misplaced pass then didn't appear for the second half.
Dan Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 The first 80 were a pathetic joke. The last 10 was how it should be every single game.

Agree about spurring the atmosphere on, last 10 minutes or so were great, but the family stand was nearly empty by 80 minutes, and has been full of season ticket holders all season, so we did turn on our fans in my eyes, I couldn't be to hard on parents getting an early one on a school night, when the game was over as a contest, but they are the exception, don't agree with leaving too early, but like I said **** em, all to their own, the clubs had their money, if they don't want to get their money's worth, it doesn't bother or affect me, let them get on with it.

Like I said I doubt anyone it was aimed at would care, and anyone who it wasn't aimed at shouldn't care. If you've got a good reason, why take offence to a chant aimed at a collective and not individuals with specific individual situations?

Not getting at you Kitch, it's just this plastic fans stuff, and people leaving early business around this forum at times is a bit ott.Yes there are thousands of fans, glory supporters coming out of the woodwork, and yes it's not loyal to piss of early when we are getting beat, But I just don't get the obsession with it on this forum. The club love the extra money, and what they do, doesn't affect me in the slightest, and I would like to say them leaving early would make the journey home easier for those that stay, but it was a nightmare tonight.

I blame Wellens Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 Yes absolutely amazed that the kop woke up for the first time in... Well I don't know when. Once again L1 showed how it's gonna struggle in the premiership. "They only sing when we're winning."
