Most money you've spent going to a Leicester game?

Including travel, accommodation, ticket what's the most money you've spent going to a City match? For me, until recently, it was easily the Red Star Belgrade game in Vienna (Arnold Schwarzenegger Stadium!). Brilliant day, starting at daybreak as we flew out from East Midlands airport. But now just heard my wife has arranged for me to fly from the USA (where we now live) back to Leicester for the last game of the season. Can't wait to be there after an amazing season. (Still having problems explaining to our American friends promotion and relegation). First ever game was Frankie Wortho almost single handedly taking Coventry apart (4-2 it finished). Last game I went to was 2006, Derby at Pride Park (then living in Sheffield), Ryan Smith loanee from Arsenal looked good for 15 minutes. In between was a ST holder over 15 years, and sold programmes on matchdays over 5 years! Wife's first ever City game was 5-0 v Cambridge PO semi. Last thing want to say, is don't know what I'd do without this website! Foxes Talk makes me feel that I can still be a City fan and we love the stuff that gets posted on here. Keep it up and see you May 3!

For me too it will be the Doncaster game. Flights from alicante, car hire, 3 days in Leicester and tickets.

I know many will have spent more but for me this will be it.

QPR away this season. £25 for a train which I never even got on as I'd booked the wrong one to my mates - of course I got the one with them only 25 minutes later, the same route and same journey, not a full train at all and was charged £40 for doing so. I had to laugh at the woman on there who genuinely spoke to me like she was doing me a favour by not charging me £80 lol

Add to that the ticket I make that around £80 and that's without food or drink. Though the appalling lack of pubs we got into pre-match definitely saved me some.

Boro League Cup Final. Flew Tokyo to London the day before. Stayed at Wembley Hilton. Saw the match. Visited family in Leicester straight after. Flew back two days later (but missed the replay and victory).

Somehow managed to spend £100 to get to Reading two Mondays ago...not a clue how! Didn't decide to go until 3:00 which made it more expensive!

Tranmere Cup final. Guernsey to Gatwick etc, etc. Soon mounts up as I stopped over a couple of nights with mates.

Flew back to see them in the home leg of the semi final against Cardiff in 2010. Total cost was around 350 quid. That game put me off NFP for a long time, I've since forgiven him though!

Madrid, took my two youngest sons, 14 & 16, (the eldest two were in the forces and gutted) stayed at a four star hotel, two nights on the piss, probably a grand all in, but well worth it.

Next time they can pay for the old man!

Man Utd away in the League Cup (I think).  Lived in London at the time and couldn't get afternoon off work so the only way to get there was to fly.  Flew from Heathrow to Manchester with BA, taxi to the ground with about 2 minutes to spare, hotel in Manchester and then very early taxi and then flight back to London the next morning.  Very expensive trip to see a 5-1 thrashing!
