Gary Taylor-Fletcher's contract

No way can we afford to give the Builder another contract.

we might have too, when he signed his contract he had a clause in it saying that if he made 25 appearances this year, he automatically gets 1 year extension

Lets hope Nigel has been clever here with this in the back of his mind.

Better than Dyer.

Oh yeah, his footballing brain is better than Dyer's. He's impressed me a lot, Taylor-Fletcher, his ability to hold the ball up is second to none at the club and he's often done well slotting into that hole just behind the forward when he's come on. I like GTF.

I agree I think he has done enough to deserve another year, and he also has prem experience playing in 22 games and scoring 5 goals

Dont think he'll cut it in the premiership, too slow. He's great at this level though.

yh, but he wouldn't be starting in the prem, he would be the player to come on if we are winning 1-0 and use his experience to see the game out

Spot on. I think he could be a useful addition to the squad next year if we tie him down.

Better than Dyer.

Fooks sake. . With the season we have just had are you REALLY saying that GTF has had the same impact on our success that Lloyd Dyer has had? No, in fact you are saying he's a BETTER player!

I remain one of the only ones on here who just can't see the GTF love-in. The first time I saw him I thought 'overweight and slow, with a decent first touch'. And I still think that.

It's fascinating what makes fans like certain players and not others. For instance, I see Waghorn as a far more dangerous player than Fletcher. And Waghorn has gone on to do very very well at Wigan.

I don't get the GTF thing. Never have done.

Been a cracking signing, cost us virtually nothing I imagine and is the perfect player to bring on when protecting a lead.

Not sure about next season as surely it will be too big a step up, if he's cheap though it never hurts to have a couple of 'closers' like him and Hammond in the squad, both could be vital at a certain time when we are under pressure holding a lead.

The thing that makes GTF so good is his positioning, always in the right place at the right time.

Keep GTF. Keep Dyer. I'm not being sentimental. These players deserve another contract. Dyer has had the best season of his entire career. GTF has done very little wrong. When talking of giving these players contracts, people seem to worry that they'll be starting every week. That is not the case. As squad players, as personalities in the dressing room, as experience on the training field they are essential. Sign them up. Sign them up. Sign them up.

I thought he'd been exiled due to his tweet?!

GTF out. Also, he hasn't been nearly as good as some are making out - he takes about 5-10 minutes to get into games before his touches stick and he's worthwhile. Better option than Phillips but I don't see why we need him when we have Wood. And I highly doubt we'll go this summer without signing another striker. Really pointless... really, really pointless.

I have ambitions of seeing Leicester stay in the Premier League and settling there. We can sign options better than GTF for that.
