Foxy Bingo Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Confident that on our day we could beat any of Derby/QPR Burnley West Brom Swansea Villa Hull Palace Stoke Sunderland West Ham Call me optimistic but I think we could be a force, especially at home
LAprice_ Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 I think the top 7 will form their own super league. The other 13 teams could literally finish anywhere. I reckon the gap between 7th and 8th would be bigger than the gap between 8th and 20th. Anything could happen next year. Leicester will be favourites to stay up because of the clubs infrastructure and finance but other clubs also look likely to spend a lot this summer. It will be a very good season for the neutral!
Agent Fox Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Southampton will still have Lambert, Jay Rod, Schneiderlein, Cork, Loovren etc... Burnley Hull West Ham Derby/QPR West Brom Sunderland Swansea Leicester - 13th EASYehhhhh
steveherbe Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 they've got a transfer defecit at the moment. They won't have any to re-invest. Plus a 30 million bill for their new training ground. Word down sarf is they owe 57M. Ouch.
Merchant_Banker Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 West Brom Aston Villa Burnley Derby/QPR I also think Newcastle might struggle given their end to the season and the hate for Pardew.
LanguedocFox Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Hull, West Brom, Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland and West Ham will all suffer, for different reasons, and I think the three to go down will be from those six. I don't think Burnley or Derby/QPR will be relegated, although all three of the promoted sides (City included) will find it hard going to begin with - it's a different world, and everyone will need time to adapt. I think we'll finish around 12th/13th.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 everyone:- Are you suggesting that every game played in the Premiership next season will be a draw, but that we will score the most goals?
sly1 Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Going up to the premier league this year begs the question, who is worse than us and therefore should theoretically finish below us? Suggestions? West Brom - look although they may struggle next year after getting rid of Paul Gascoiynes brother Sunderland - Connor Wickham surely can't be that prolific again can he, and Borini will return to liverpool Newcastle - they have been on the beach since about January, lets hope they remain there Burnley - will be a big 6 pointer against them next year, Vings partnership disrupted by Vokes long term injury Derby/QPR - QPR likely to spend big, and therefore could be more of a challenge next season, lets hope Derby come up, we always seem to beat Derby Surely 3 of this lot should finish below us? Yes agree with that spot on
Agent Fox Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Are you suggesting that every game played in the Premiership next season will be a draw, but that we will score the most goals? You've read the table wrong.

Raj Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 as long as there's 3 teams on this list in a year's time i'm getting the party started Defo needs to be a pitch invasion if that happens....
Jace Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Knowing our fans we will be safe by March and everyone will be trying multiple pitch invasions in May to celebrate
MC Prussian Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Our two promotion fellows will finish behind us and hopefully, at least another currently mediocre Premier League team (of which there are quite a lot).
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Bloody Hell guys, another one of these. Wait and see what all the squads look like! Newcastle, for example, look like they will be spending this summer. Same with Sunderland.

I thought you already knew that, Colin.

My point was, who the fook knows who will finish below us at this moment in time? I tell you what.. if you do PM me and I'll get twenty notes on it Michael.

The Premier League recently has created a larger gap between the top half and the bottom half teams and survival in the first season upon promotion - with a dedicated team at the helm - isn't impossible at all.

No, that IS my point.. what's the point in guessing? I ain't trying to be a party pooper but why? For instance, I could say Derby, West Ham, West Brom... but why? On what basis?

Probably all the same as why we're guessing. You can name whichever team you like based on your observations over the course of the past season (and beyond that, taking a certain tendency into account). It's fun. Try it. P.S.: You are a party pooper. But you already know that.
Unabomber Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Who will finish below us? WBA Burnley Newcastle West Ham Hull Palace Southampton Villa

PS.. are you shouting for Arry and the R's on Saturday?

PS.. are you shouting for Arry and the R's on Saturday? Why would I want to cheer for a team with a plethora of aging "star" players on its books and a grossly inflated wage bill that you put a considerable amount of money on to win the playoffs this year?
